She is absolutely in the “pretty zombie” club.
I know I did her quests in BfA but I don’t remember her at all.
Is her name pronounced Xal’atath or Xal’atath?
I pronounce it “Nancy”.
me too.
Roll up a shadow priest in legion and just go through content; she gives insight and context that you won’t get playing anything else that makes the expierience… rather unique.
That sounds interesting, I’ve been meaning to roll a priest.
Like you’ll get the same campaign beats but there are locations and NPC’s or events that can trigger when you have her equipped (I think the voice lines might be tied to the Mog as well?) and you wind up hearing things like how the Dragons in Azuna are weak and you can take advantage of that or how one of the bosses in Emerald Nightmare is just a piece of a much bigger entity.
None of it comes across as vicious or cruel or evil so much as… oportunistic and at times snide.
Frankly, I thought she was the most interesting NPC in the whole expansion.
Dang it. Now I have to think of a good priest name.
I have a few faves:
Agnostic
Atheism
Unorthodoxy.
Pastafarian.
At least she’s a new character who’s been given proper introduction and development, and we’re not going to immediately defeat her in the next patch like we did when N’zoth arrived.
This is a much better villain situation than The Jailer, and it’s not even close.
Ya see the thing is…
Yes.
As it stands right now, I think she’ll at least be on the same level as Denathrius.
Only if i get to wear a colander on my head
I hope she drops good loot.
How else will you commune with the giant flying spagetti monster?
Completely random but I’d find it hilarious if the fact we’re going after an entity that used to reside in a knife like Xal’atath that the legendary of either TWW or Midnight ends up some odd three piece legendary set that’s Old god themed but like a tea set for some reason. I mean we’ve seen stuff form hearthstone make its way into WoW before who’s to say Yogg saron treats alongside idk a N’Zoth tea set and C’thun serving knife won’t be some crazy idea they do for a legendary? All working together in some odd way like the tea applying a heal and dot cleanse to allies but hitting foes with a curse that poisons them, silences them, and makes any damage they deal their foe for a set time heal their foe instead while requiring the player to have the off hand tea set, the main hand serving knife, and the trinket treats all equipped to actually work. Yeah…I know…really crazy and random…my apologies…been seeing a lot of snooty elves lately that I started picturing Xal’atath having a really weird tea party as she thinks she’s better than all of us. I’ll see myself out…
But what is she trying to do with that soul?
Anyone else think her name sounds like a brand of artificial sweetener?
