Hi. I want to be able to send mail X realm. I understand you can do this for BOA items but why not all items? You are able to trade X realm so why not mail?

I don’t see why not - they are already allowing the whales who run multiple accounts to do this and those are the people who cause server problems.
The mailman can’t travel interdimentionially?

Because according to a blue post, mail is an entirely different animal and much more complex to change.

I don’t believe Daddy Blizz on this one at all. If you have the capability to send BOA stuff x-realm you have the capability to send anything. They just don’t WANT to let us. Which I can see theoretically for server economy sake, but the player base has proven they will always go that extra step to cheese things. Now you’ll just have to make a group with whoever you want to trade with. UNLESS the x-realm is limited to group loot in instances, that I’m not sure of.

The mail system is not the same system as opening a trade window with someone. So you’d be wrong.

It’s really funny just how many people jumped to the conclusion that cross-realm mail would happen since it was NEVER mentioned. 
Don’t get me wrong I would love to have it but it was never promised.

Agreed, but irrelevant to my comment. The post is about x-realm mail, and a blue comment which cannot be true. Daddy Blizz is only allowing x-realm trading, but my point was they might as well allow mail since the only difference is “making that group”.
Everything should be region wide!

It’s not irrelevant. At all. Two different systems. One can be changed to work cross realm much easier than the other.

And again… it’s much more complex and difficult to do. The point of cross realm trading wasn’t for your alts. It was so that things normally unable to be traded while in groups, could be.
Once again… mail is an entirely different animal and much more complex.

This comes from your extensive programming background.
Either way they already have cross realm, cross faction mail that works for boa items so it really is only switches to allow it to work for all items.
Anyway, it is just a matter of time before this gets opened up.

Which may be true, but it doesn’t mean they shouldn’t invest dev resources into a QoL improvement like cross-realm mail.

Connected Realms are same realm. Not cross realm.
Where did anyone day otherwise? The comments are about why it’s not done right now and wasn’t implemented with trading.

I didn’t say you or anyone else did. I’m simply saying that they should still consider working on this even if it takes them a long time to implement if they can’t invest enough developer time to get it done in a reasonable amount of time.

Because cross-realm trading was implemented to facilitate people doing cross-realm content with other players.

Connected Realms are the same realm. That isn’t incorrect. That’s what smart Mergers are: making them the same realm without losing the realm tags.
