Only near the end of it. Cross realm BGs was literally in the game for a couple months before patch 2.00
I would fully agree with this.
It doesn’t really matter how many cases, if there’s a single piece of BIS gear available in BGs, then PVE players are going to do BGs. In a lot of cases preraid BIS comes from BGs too and it’s a lot faster than trying to run a dungeon 14 times because BG rewards are guaranteed.
You will be able to run dungeons a lot more than 14 times by the time you get to the higher ranks ><
Which grind do you prefer?
Playing 24/7 or never getting your pvp gear because of honor inflation.
Or being able to actually sleep since there are downtimes for queues?

Just the opposite, one faction dominating BG’s on a server results in the same thing that it does in wpvp. People simply leave the under represented faction.
A lot of the PvE realms will contribute very little to the BG queues. People rolled on PvE because they do not like to PvP often. I would expect even with full x-realm Horde queues will be 1+ hours. PvE realm players will not be grinding honor heavily so their participation in BGs will be limited at best.
IF anything, its the opposite.
How exactly does this happen? The under repped faction is still fighting against 10 or 15 people, so population doesnt matter except for queue times.
Population alone doesnt help BG dominance other than increasing the liklihood of good talent? But it also means that there’s a large % of people pugs too. So an alliance pug is more likely to face another pug.
However, a horde pug is more likely to face an alliance premade since there are less people queueing on the alliance side.
It was in classic. It’s cannon.
But for PvP servers alone, the horde only outnumber alliance 2 to 1. Which means horde should get in every other game. The average game doesn’t last anywhere close to an hour.
