I ran the dungeon 112 times today.
61 times on characters I already had and the rest on newly created Allied Race characters.
The rocket didn’t drop.
Does the mount drop for newly created characters?
Is it worth farming it on alts?
With a ten instance per hour limit?

What restriction? I just queued with my healers and got the box. Explain.
This is being discussed in the blue post thread from 2023 already. At that time it was changed to have a higher drop chance on your first run per day per account with a much smaller chance on subsequent runs on alts.
Now it’s possible it still works that way, or was changed entirely to only drop on the first run of the day as the tooltip of the box has apparently changed and their announcement of the new mount specifically says it only can drop on your first run of the day. It’s unclear if the new mount and rocket are both on that same system or if the 2023 change is still how the rocket works.

The mount only drops from the epic box, which level 70+. It follows the “once per account per day higher droprate” rule.
Also: can’t use trial characters either

Yea if you were deleting and re-making characters or something to try to do it repeatedly that definitely doesn’t work even if the 2023 drop chance system still applies. As mentioned above, only the epic box can contain the mount.
If the 2023 drop system applies the chances to get the mount after the first of the day is extremely low but possible still from epic boxes on higher level alts.

I’m ‘fairly’ certain it applies to connected as well.
I could hit the cap running 10 characters on Icecrown and then run 10 on Malygos even though they’re connected.

Yes. However (as you know/mentioned/we spoke about in the other thread) it currently reads and was changed this year to: “Contains Love Tokens with a chance of other prizes. THE FIRST OF THESE EARNED BY YOUR WARBAND EACH DAY HAS A CHANCE TO INCLUDE RARE REWARDS”
A blue post on this would be super appreciated.

Does this mean that the mount can only drop for the first character that completes the dungeon? It doesn’t drop for alts at all?

Exactly. No one knows lol (unless someone got the mount after some consecutive kills today and can confirm here).

Then explain why on my level 13 hunter in que for the dungeon is shown a epic purple heart box and my another lvl 12 got the purple epic box too…
We’re waiting for a blue post to clarify since the new tooltip contradicts what was said in 2023 in this thread:
The official announcement only states that the new mount can only drop off your first run per day.

I logged onto a level 10 and the box does appear to be purple for low levels as well now which I believe is a change compared to past years?
Maybe they changed it now that the boxes say in the tooltip that it only has a chance at rare rewards on the first run per day.
That means we only get 14 attempts per year. I’ve been trying to get this mount for almost half of my life.
