Guess I’ll get it this time… along with everyone else who gets it and realizes it is not a big deal or worth all the drama.

You might be right but that still turns a 100 attempt farm into a 50 attempt farm. (On average)
Considering it’s just a holiday mount over a decade old thats only other recolor is a tcg mount maybe it should be a hand out.

You’ve listened, but I don’t think you’ve heard.
I am speculating that the drop rate was originally so low because the original authors tried to balance amount of effort per attempt times attempts equal something reasonable…
This failed obviously because they did not include the effort to maintain enough alts, or the pressure to make all necessary attempts within a window of 2 weeks out of the year.
Basically implying that either the mount is going to be given away this year, or that attempting to run this more than once a day is near to futile are both bad situations.
If the mount is given away, then the holiday becomes meaningless post-2023 unless Blizzard is willing to put in the effort to add SIGNIFICANT new things to the holiday each year to encourage participation.
If running this on more than one character per day is near to futile (aka still the original drop rate), then this just adds insult to injury to those who have put in the effort and somehow don’t end up with the mount while they will be seeing many people with the mount.
The happy balance is something such as to pull the drop rate up so that it’s reasonable to get this with one character within around 45-60 attempts (3-4 years) but if you have 3-4 alts very likely to get it this year. I don’t know what the real/current drop rate is for the headless horseman mount, but it seems you’ve already solved this problem if you look there.
