I had no intention of doing this even again after previous years but the illusion of an increased drop chance dragged me back in. 12 runs a day and nothing but wasted time. They have somehow actually made more people angry than the few that saw the mount once again.
Blizz really really needs to stop using pure RNG. Just reward effort with a stacking RNG that eventually caps to 100% chance. Some can still get lucky with “OMG I got it on my first run”, but eventually your entire player base will know there’s hope at the end of the grind.
Just brutal that this hasn’t been implemented after this long and instead we get thinks like the Rei Lun mount drop which is RNG within RNG within RNG (is the invasion up, when will it is spawn, did it drop - I’m almost 100 kills and nothin for that one).

what’s the harm in just making it a guaranteed drop at this point? the game is definitely shifting toward a model where everyone gets everything they want when they want to get it. i’m not saying that’s good or bad, that’s just where we are today.

That’s why I proposed different scenarios, adding the mount to the meta achievement could be a solution… Devs should think of a solution that provides it 100% deterministic way and also its engaging and fun… Just check FFXIV approach for valentine, halloween, xmas…

Them saying the first box of each day has a ‘greatly increased’ chance at the mount just feels like a slap in the face. 8 years for me on 12 characters a day and still nothing. It taking years and years for someone to get a MOUNT in a video game to me is just ridiculous. Hopefully they change it again next year, who knows.

15 days with 15 runs per day on different characters all 60+ No Mount.
That is 225 runs this year alone, this is ridiculous. Event mounts need to be purchasable from the vendor for events and they need to make the tokens for events BOE as a form of bad luck protection.

Why would they make the mount 100% if it means you all pay for a sub for the month of February? You guys need to look at this from a business perspective. They guarantee they get $20 from you for one month. With the trading post, they have you locked in for a year if you want the Warden transmog. You’re all being finessed.

The drop is increased surely I feel it! I saw a few people drop and riding it. I never saw the rocket drops that much before.
but i just have no luck, and you guys too…
how long and how many tries is nothing to do with this you know. it is just LUCK!

this clearly wasn’t well thought out. next year maybe provide some more details and transparency on what the actual drop rate is for the first box, or maybe don’t punish people who are willing to run on multiple alts by making it the original ridiculous drop rate after the first box. not sure why they couldn’t just make it a 1/100 chance on every alt like all of the other holiday mounts? it’s really that simple.

There’s luck true, however ; there’s also a massive RNG creating a frustated player experience instead of a fun and engaging celebration… We want better luck like the other holidays % or a deterministic way to validate our massive attempts. I already did more years of attempts that years that I’m going to be alive… If I only used 1 character, most games based their rewards with the minimum in mind. WoW should create rewards thinking about an appropiate value for players using 1 character

man, if I had to tally all the years, I’ve played with all the attempts I’m well over 2000+ got to say this mount has one of the worst drop rates and it’s also a 2-week event once a year what a great idea blizz…, RNG in this game needs to be redone I still think nothing should ever be below a 1% drop chance but like I said early you got to have people keep subbing and coming back for something =/
