I just want you all to know that I was smacking the random name generator last week and it gave me the name “Bethy.” Yep. Bethy. I now have a Kul’Tiran named Bethy.
Also someone said there was a name release over the weekend, but I have yet to check.

That seems like a catch name, so they probably did free up something.
A few people said that, but there’s only a few names left on my “want” list and none of them are free yet.
I’d be interested in the name “Argyle”, but tbh I’m cheap and wouldn’t pay much.
One other name I’ve wanted is my IRL name, but I highly doubt I’ll ever get it.
Names matter a lot less now. You can make a character on any server and join a guild on MG or WrA. You should see the names I have on my OCE server. All amazing.
I say this while leveling a MG character named ‘Dirty’ which I paid 500k gold for but yeah.

on a serious note what do people do with all of these names? do they hoard them until someone decides they want the name floweringly for an absurd amount of gold or do they actually use these names
From what I can tell they hoard them. I’ve seen some folks even ask for real money for some of these names sometimes. The name trading game is getting sickening. This was supposed to be something fun.

By now, I’ve made characters for all the names I saved or I’ve deleted them, personally, except for maybe a few – for example, I have a few names saved on the 4 servers I have characters on in case they add a bard class or spec, or certain race/class combos. I used Remix to level most of the race/class combo hopefuls to 70, though 
yeah i totally agree, it was supposed to be about giving away names you would actually use to maybe get a name you wanted more, or to sell them to someone that really wanted them. but it seems like most people are just trying to get the best name to get gold from. its really disappointing

I’ve decided that I won’t be using Lottie and Paula, so I freed them up. 
This is why I always price mine fairly, and if someone didn’t have the gold or a name to trade we would work something out… I miss it.
