The local TNR program we use is $30 for surgery and vaccines (Rabies, FVRCP). It’s a little extra for a snap test* and flea treatment (usually $20 more). We used to do all the work but we’ve befriended enough fellow childless cat ladies in the area that they do the trapping for us and more recently, sponsor their surgery. So basically they drop off the kitty, we board them, transport them on surgery day, help them recover, and I also spend the week assessing them to see if they should be released or move to foster.

* Snap tests check for FIV (kitty aids; treatable and can live with non-FIV kitties) or FeLV (kitty leukemia; unfortunately still not treatable and can only live with FeLV+ kitties). You should always quarantine strays from indoor kitties till you know snap test results.

Getting lost in my own head. Feeling burnt out, spiritually and physically. Not sure if it’s a nervous breakdown, psychotic episode, mid-life crisis or all three.

Just know I’m tired of it all. No plans to quit, but I don’t want to play anymore.

On the flip side, I’m finding solace in painting miniatures again after a two year hiatus. So I’ve got that going for me, which is nice.

Too bad youre painting Tau.

I haven’t touched Dragon Age since DA2 and this new one is going to be a big no. So, nothing really changing.

Don’t actually own any Tau, believe it or not.

My two current armies are Lumineth for Age of Sigmar and Bretonnia for The Old World, but I’m presently dipping my toes back into 40k with Imperial Agents despite the fact their Codex is dog water.

im just now getting in to 40k… which is wild. Because its right up my alley.

I think its because most of my life Warcraft and Starcraft scratched that itch. But theyve moved so far away from that type of storytelling…

I dont know what chapter/faction I want to invest in just yet. I really like the Dark Angels, Salamanders, Ravenguard, and Raptors currently.

Oh and Orks. Orks are a good time.

Salamanders are always a good decision. And I’m not saying that as a fan of the Covenant of the Flame chapter (Which totally isn’t me trying to play Loyalist Word Bearers…)

I watched a review. Someone said all the characters talk like they’re worried HR is listening and I agree with that. Such a soft, tepid, weak game.

Frfr no cap. Ohio.

(Did I do it right?)

The Skibidi Toilet series has a surprisingly competent narrative. I’m not ashamed to say that.

Okay. Gotta ask. What do the Maw and toilets have to do with Ohio? Just an inquiring mind that wants to know.

(Yes I am doing my best high pitched voice impression of Braan the delver.)

I’m keen to play it, uh… someday. Dragon Age with more actiony combat appeals to me, because I never really liked pause and play–I prefer either full action or full turn based. And the fact that most reviewers seem to enjoy it is a good sign, even if some are sort of mixed on the writing and take on the world.

But I’m not getting it when it comes out, because I’ve got way too many unplayed games already.

Like what.

Thought you were talking about Warcraft again, after everyone said to change the subject…

You can do it Enekie! You can access the Light again!

I’ve got sort of a JRPG glut…

  • I’m like 20 hrs into Persona 5 and unsure if I want to finish it, because I’ve picked it up and dropped it twice now but its still installed…
  • I’m similarly 20 hrs into Phantom Brave, most of which spent screwing around in its cool random dungeons but I guess I should finish the game
  • I’m like 3/4ths of the way through breath of the wild (Ok not really a JRPG but JRPG adjacent)

Beyond weeb material

  • I bought Victoria 3 on sale a bit ago and sort of started understanding how to make Belgium’s economy work and I’d like to work on that some more
  • I got Warhammer 3 recently and kind of started a campaign as elf queen lady for a few hours
  • I reinstalled Skyrim for the billionth time and collected some mods

So yes I don’t need a large RPG on top of that just yet, I should be good for like a year or five

I’m replaying Elden Ring currently. Was a Halbred poke and block build, but im transitioning to a Great Mace bonk build.

someday i’ll finish rogue trader

I’m seeking out my latest cozy game for when it gets colder. Traditionally it’s been Minecraft and Stardew Valley, but looking for something new.

No. Embrace Minecraft. Lets play together… Wyrmrest MC Server lets go.
