Can’t sleep because it my back is out and lying down really hurts. Anyway, working on the campaign quests and doing the lingering shadows quest line… One in particular is reminding me how bad Blizz’s quest design can be.

The last Marvel thing I let myself indulge in was Agatha All Along because all the marketing tweaked the side of me that loves anything and everything witch-culture and
It was just dumb. It was a mess. I liked it initially but the more I thought about it the more it just started to annoy the daylights out of me and now I’m right back to “no Marvel for me, thanks” square one.
That stupid song sure was an earworm, though.

I have a bit of nostalgia for the era when our drama threads would get so many posts that they’d make it to the main page of the forums. And then we’d end up with very confused bystanders from other realms asking what the hell a Wastewander slave girl harem was, or why someone would want to be a pregnant death knight.

Unironically, I believe this to be a genuinely fun era of Wyrmrest Accord history.
On the one hand, it was incredibly stupid with a lot of us who specifically are not me and have never been me deciding to argue to bitterness over the pettiest of subjects on behalf of a game that isn’t even a little worth it.
On the other hand, it’s a very rare community that is so exuberant that it spills over into other communities–and, indeed, we all remain a pretty active, talkative and opinionated group today.
We may be stupid, but we are rarely boring.

I miss them golden days.
slighty related to marvel movies - when i flew to hong kong, the flight was about 12-14 hours long. there was a person in front of me watching the second avengers movie and the way I was sitting I could see their screen. I took a sleeping pill but because flying sucks, I kept waking up and I was kinda gauging how long I been asleep based on where this person was in the movie.
So i’d wake up and be like - oh they are at this scene so I been asleep for about an hour - doze off and wake up again - its the final fight, so I been sleeping for 3 hours - fall back asleep and wake up - it’s back to time travel stuff - oh i must have dreamed the earlier stuff - fall back asleep and wake up again - Its the beginning of the movie?? wtf is happening??
At some point the pill wore off and I finally woke up and realized, that no I been asleep for about 9 hours and this person literally was watching the movie over and over and over and over and I thought I was going insane LOL. Anyway, this person watched this movie for 14 hours straight but no hate, flying sucks, do what you gotta do.

It seems like 11.1 offers a TON of engineer, technology type / related gear, mounts, mogs etc.
It also introduces the long desired Goblin car. However, in typical Blizz fashion we can’t possibly just have a good thing (the car). No. They have to introduce some weird “driving system” with it, that’s apparently much like dragonriding, except on the ground.
You pick up speed, the more you drive without hitting things. If you get knocked off the mount, you may end up fighting mobs.
Honestly, what is wrong with this company or is it me? The more they implement in this game, the more I wonder if I’m even an audience for this game anymore. There have been a ton of complaints and concerns from those of us in the “accessibility corner” related to dragonriding, so what do they do? They give us the car…with dragonriding.
Honestly, if this is implemented and it seems as problematic as it looks? I’m just not sure. I said I’d never quit this game but they are really pushing me away from /played time.

Doesn’t sound like that much fun to me. It doesn’t count as a mount and sounds miserable if you run into something.
And timed mode? I hate timed anything.

Blizzard’s natural disinclination to give players what they ask for and Activision’s desperate need to keep churning out content has resulted in an ugly system where we get tons of new “gameplay” designed to just stretch out the time instead of actually do anything fun.
