It was part of a casual social guild I was in before I fell off the map and had to focus on other things for a while. I left. No shade on them or anything.
So, I’m doing something I said I would never do. I’m actually leveling a character in Shadowlands. Well specifically in Rivendreth and Ardenweld. I don’t know why, but I am. I’m taking my little tauren warlock, Boudreaux, through there.

Can’t wait until we get the account-wide rep for that damn expansion. There’s factions I want gear from but the prospect of going back and grinding their rep makes me want to R.I.P.

I hated it on Kina at the time it was current. So I started my lower level panda warrior at the time because I wanted some of the Temu Vampire stuff. Then I quit the game for a while. But I still want the Rivendreth stuff… It works for the warlock vibe too… so yeah. I’m going to run the panda boi through too. We’ll see how far I get. at least I have the option to nope out if it gets too bad.

I was running the Castle raid a few days ago for White armor pieces mogs to see if they matched some white hoods (They didn’t really work) and the whole time I was struck how the Revandreth stuff was so quintessentially gothic WarCraft and it’s seriously a damn shame it’s all squirreled away as end level content in what is unabashedly the worst World of WarCraft expansion to date.
Ran the whole thing imagining a AU where this was what Gilneas became had the Worgen curse not impacted it, and instead had succumbed slowly to the machinations of the Dreadlords. Scourge aligned but wholly its own thing and Vampire coded. And then I started lamenting something that never existed outside my own mind.

I think that’s that thing, I just like Rivendreth. I appreciate the vibe. I loved when WoW introduced the Worgen, because I loved that classic monster movie vibe. I loved all those old black and white monster movies growing up.

Even when you’re over leveled and can one-shot everything, Shadowlands still somehow manages to be a slog.
It’s painfully obvious that the entire expac was built solely with time played metrics in mind. Still wild to me how many people were willing to burn bridges to defend it.
Anyhoodle. Tamriel Rebuilt’s next big update will be dropping Soon™, and I’m realizing I’m more excited for a mod for a 22+ year old game than I am for anything that’s coming out soon. Video games!!

The best cure I’ve ever found to the beginning of a cold or flu is wasabi or a really hot melt-your-lower-intestine-on-the-way-out curry, just a nuclear purge or your sinuses.
Once its established, however … see a doctor. Covid is now well established as part of the seasonal flu cycle, and it has long-term effects on the lungs and bronchial system. Yearly injections are a thing, if you can afford them. We’re having a serious upswing with the damn thing down here in Oz, averaging about 90 cases needing hospital care per day across the country, because folks don’t care about wearing face-masks when they’re sick anymore and just hack up a lung on anybody in a cone in-front of them.

Already saw a doctor, i’m negative for flu, RSV, and covid. It’s some other virus going around, and nothing serious. I’m in the “just congested” part of getting over the cold.
Anyway I usually use herbal medicine or tom yum, which is a lemongrass soup sold at thai restaurants. Spicy tomato soup or chili can also work, but I like tom yum because I can get it easy on door dash. I read that pseudoephridine, though, is the stuff that actually works and is usually behind the counter b/c it can be used to make drugs. Phenylephrine, the stuff in anything you can just walk in and buy without an ID, is only considered useful if taken nasally. Oral phenylephrine is what I’ve been taking my entire life, so of course the stuff is worthless and I have no desire to ever take it over my eucalyptus tea and tom yum.
(also yes i wore a mask when i went to the store earlier to get the real sudafed.)
