Realistically this game really needs to do away with auto mechanics. These auto designs that invalidates a players input are never good in a game with pvp modes.
It seems these are being created for people who forget to use their abilities, creating a bypass for a player misplay should never be a thing.
You forget to use you divine shield, you forget ice block, you forget to use sacrifice, you forget to put down gate, etc. you deserve the misplay in that.
Creating things in this way so you have less to think about should never be implemented, might as well have conditional bot programsâŚ
Itâs even worse when you consider just how often you can stun them, first itâs the chance dodge, then itâs FoF you canât stun during, then youâre flying through the air, then youâre ropped, then youâre leg swept, then youâre incapped and your teammate is dying.
100% WW is more annoying than feral, thankfully no one likes playing ww so you only have to deal with it like 1/15 games.
WW was super fun in MOP, FoF stun, big bursty dam and then having to kite it out between. Now itâs just straight W-key with pets. Our monks have deviated from the Path somewhere along the way.
Ww is fine, weâre just one of the specs that if itâs good people lose their minds. You know whatâs really annoying playing a class for 9 years with almost zero new moves or playstyle changes. Keefers was cool with the dash but youâre giving up a global and 6 sec burst window was awful. Ya, if you connect youâd kill but any micro cc just ruined your damage. I most the changes they have made for monks. The class feels fun and new not the same stagnant bs season after season. Honestly the Wdp knock into a ToD is badass idc if you wanna qq about it.
Windwalker has one of the coolest fantasies. They are basically martial arts fighters in a world ruled by weapon wielders. Someone at blizzard has to bring this vision of a goku or naruto to the spec.
Okay, I actually donât mind clash and think this one is neat.
I have genuinely no idea why this was added as some weird extension soft cc with some wild knock interactions.
I actually think this is an important change. Kt was very silly how the monk damage CD was often times a damage loss even if the monk trinketed or was dispelled from cc.
I think its like a 45% increase during the channel and 15% for 4s after and also the zoo is really only cosmetic, so I donât mind this as much.
Idk, after playing it a bit ww feels super cool and strong, but I also feel like it really lacks kill pressure. Im definitely not good at it by any stretch of the imagination and I know it saw a lot of tournament play in EU, but it feels really underwhelming when I play as and against it.
Feels like it struggles to close out games, the cc it offers just has way too long of a cd.
The devs we have now have no history with the game. The lessons learned from the past seem to have been forgotten or now ignored. Like w/e dev thought it was a good idea to give Devo a massive AOE stun that ALSO makes them immune to CC is also the person coming up with all the rest of this garbage.
Thatâs the unfortunate downside of the current design model. Itâs like throw down back in the day. Itâs not that it made warriors OP (it didnât, warriors were garbage) , but the ability was annoying and poorly designed.
Also, heals you for 10% and gives you 15% damage reduction on top of everything while youâre channeling it and for 8 sec afterwards, which makes no sense for an offensive ability either.
The amount of psuedos that wws can do are what get me. While other classes just chain stun you, ww will just incap> clash> stun> knock up/ROP then kick. All while training your partner. I think they gotta reduce the ranges for some of these skills. Thematically it makes no sense why Iâm getting a pressure points squeezed from 15 yards away and leg sweep range seems to have doubled in the last few xpacks.
Despite all that and good damage and veing unkillable, though, WW is still struggling at most levels of play. Iâm not a ww expert, but I feel that most of them would be super cool trading some of their defensive/micro cc for more kill pressure.
