Latest patch has made the interface including inventory tiny? Please tell me this was not intended? Are you guys hell-bent on ruining everything in this legendary game? Is that all you people can do - DESTROY EVERYTHING THAT IS BEAUTIFUL?

dude, do i have to spell it out for you? Can you not see the reason for my hissy-fit? I need a microscope to see my inventory and the icons in my interface since new patch
Maybe you have an addon that makes adjustments to the ui, and isn’t loading now since it’s considered outdated after the new patch?
On the character selection screen, click on addons in the bottom left corner, and click “load outdated addons” option.
See if that works.

This is the case on a couple of my characters but has been for a while. I assume there’s a setting somewhere but I’ve never cared enough to look for it.
No issues for me, every thing is working flawlessly.

Nope, no add-ons here mate, I logged off wow last night, opened my laptop, then there was a 4 gig update, and then this happened.
I tried adjusting the resolution but it didn’t have any effect
Isn’t there a “UI Scale” setting somewhere too?

Yeah. Which is why I suggested OP check settings.
I reset settings to default and its still like this - Can you post screen shots here?
In a roundabout way, yes you can.
Default settings may be the issue. If you had the UI scaled up, then resetting it isn’t going to help. Look in settings and check UI scale.
I’m not surprised my addons are useless even though I downloaded the updates.Love the patch day hate the outcomes. 
what about if i delete WTF folder or something.
The good news is that this isnt part of the patch. At least nothing happened to you guys.
So this patch update upset my wow folder for some reason which in turn has affected my UI somehow
You can try a full UI reset:
