Not semantics. There is a queue. There just aren’t enough players to support it.
It’s the same as trying to find gamers of certain older board games. People just don’t play the games as much as they used to. Interest in games come and go. Styles of play come and go. It’s simple evolution.
Not for the other 17-27 players. Hence the separation. The separation was the best thing to happen to these BG’s since it was separated in the first place. They were only combined in Legion with the templates. before that (since adding XP to BG’s) they have always been separate.
Actually it is. Mechanics in gaming that are undesired eventually get changed or simply weeded out. Because enough people don’t like them. I mean, looking at the grand daddy of RPGs, DnD. It has evolved and changed drastically over the years as certain mechanics proved undesirable.
Did you read anything about what I stated above in gear wise. If it want fun for the other players it was because they didn’t prepare themselves for bgs. Enchants and consumables are super easy to get and if you don’t have them then your are obviously going to fall behind and that gives you room to complain because you can’t keep up.
Now your ignorance is showing. Clearly you never even did bgs. A balanced team on both sides was what was best for gameplay. Premades on one side and not on the other was worst of all, but oh, you have to keep quiet on that part so you can blame “twinks”.
XPon had a “Significant Advantage” (according to Blizzard) over XPoff. Why not play with XPon? Unless you “can’t keep up” without needing to have a significant advantage…
And just so we are all clear, it is you who is complaining about not being able to find enough twinks to play against.
You’re twisting my words. There are older board games that are hard to find players for BECAUSE interest in them has faded. People have moved to playing different games. There will always be a niche group that enjoys the older games of course, but finding those players can be an issue. I own a number of tabletop games that while fun are more of a “oh, you want to play that game? There’s a thriving community. In Germany. You’re not in Germany? You’re outta luck.”
And I understand science, I used evolution as a way to describe how things have changed. Evolution can also be used to mean slow methodical changes over time in regards to society.
I have basically only played BG’s in BfA, and levelled numerous toons doing it. The games are way better than before. It is night and day. Except where all the twinks still live (under 30).
Go ahead and argue my experience is not this, but pretty sure you are not me.
i had a twink tell me queues were 3xs longer for xpon now that twinks are no longer there. when i mentioned my HORDE queues were 3-4m he magically disappeared from the thread. soz but not at any level i’ve done bgs at since the change have i waited more than 10m horde side. and that’s horde queues.
how does that not make sense? Twinks have an advantage because they have unlimited time to get BiS.

Full Tweet in response to people asking if queues had been separated:
Yes. With the introduction of stat templates in Legion, xp-off players couldn’t get a significant advantage over xp-on players, so we combined the brackets for low level battlegrounds. Now that we’ve removed stat templates, we’ve returned xp-off players to their own bracket.
Twinks having a substantial amount of higher quality gear in a bracket then others, is what they are referring to, over bloated damage being far superior then the non twink counterparts.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m in the camp of re merging the xp on and off, but the huge advantage we held was clear as day.
It was indeed, I made a twink just to advocate their separation before 8.1.5. I was a one dwarf wrecking crew and didn’t even know what button did what. It was a joke.
