I know many of you elitists jerks will just say to join a premade, get better, stop crying, etc…
Well, premades vs pugs have been an issue since Vanilla…except that it seems worse now, especially since this is pre 1.6 Vanilla w/ x-realms. That means more premades from other servers going up against more people who just Q themselves. Its not fun. And many people probably aren’t running with premades unless they are in a top-tier raiding guild that has rankers. My issue is that its almost completely killed PvP for those of us who pug. Ever since AV nerf 2 or 3 weeks ago, ive never ran into a WSG pug.
I understand, premades are a great way to gain rank but when theyre almost ALWAYS going up against random puggers……its not even a battle anymore. The puggers have no chance and theyre left just being food for those rankers…guess what Blizz, most of your player base are puggers, we want a fair battle…we want to have a fighting chance, we don’t want to just be steamrolled. I just run around doing nothing most of the time because I don’t even want to do anything against a premade full of Rank 10-14’s.
Many of us came back because we wanted to enjoy some PvP aspect, none of the PvP right now is enjoyable for anyone who has responsibilities.

I love Classic for the most part, I played Vanilla from 2005 until BC so im not new to the game. I reached rank 11 mostly pugging and would premade when guildies were on.
This version doesn’t allow puggers to even get close to getting that rank. Back then we didn’t have x-realm. No x-realm meant less chances for a pug to encounter a premade. That means more getting steamrolled by premade groups. Back then when I pugged WSG I would run into another pug about 50-60% of the time, nowadays I run into a pug 0% of the time.
The x-realming crap caused problem for puggers because if Premade A decides to Q up, half of the time they are Q’d against a person who isn’t part of a premade…Premade A is already established and they know that if the other team isn’t a premade, then they’ll just walk all over you.
This is the only thing from 2004-2007 Vanilla that I wish was going to be fixed but it didn’t even come close.
Got any math to back this up? I’m no mathematician but If there’s more puggers than premaders. Wouldn’t there be more pug vs pug games?

I don’t have data to back this up, but it seems to me that a big share of players stopped pugging because they only faced premades, and with the last change to prevent dodging they are slowly coming back.
I say this, because after the AV changes I was facing a bunch of pugs, then we started to only face premades, and now it seems that I face 40% pugs and 60% premades.
Whatcha think no cross realm would do with 4x Vanilla pops and the widespread knowledge that premades are the most effective way to farm honor?
However. I do think where we were at in phase 2. It would have encouraged the community to seek balance on these realms.
Even if they went with vanilla pops and no cross realm. This is what we’d still get. After AQ this ranking business dies down. A lot.

After AQ when this slows way down then they should have added cross realm if needed.
The rankers would have been done and it would have been this fun pvp everyone is queueing for. In completely OP one shot a fresh 60 gear ofc. Lol.
Either way. If it’s not fun. Don’t do it. Find some fun. There’s fun pvp to be had and the ranker epidemic eventually dies out.
Mathematically you are not going to rank up solo queueing when so many are pumping out honor in the premade machine.
You’re basically playing human vs machine efficiency. Humans don’t win this very often. Js.
Gets us closer to Vanilla pops. This isn’t as bad as you’re trying to make it sound. Hopefully it’s a lot of the extra Horde so queue times go down and the rankers can move on faster.

Back in vanilla the barrier to entry for video games in general generated a close-knit community

Just wait till AB comes out… that should help seeing less premades in WSG. But AB will be run by Premades all day.
I hate xrealms cuz you get the worst of the worst from other servers, instead of the very few from yours. Long queue time be damn… you choose the majority now suck it up.
