I’ll preface this by stating I am a full-time wow streamer somewhat small, but enough to pay the bills atm. 95% of my time spent on WOW is done on stream and streaming WOW being a large portion of my income.
I recently received a 30 day suspension with the reason listed as: “Violation: Exploitative Activity: Real Money Transaction”.
I want to be very clear, I have NEVER engaged in any RMT actions throughout my history of playing World of Warcraft and I have been playing on the same account since the end of BC.
This is why I am willing to take this publicly and get some exposure into the issue. I am 100% confident in my innocence. I give my full permission to any Blizzard CS or Dev to come forward with the “evidence” against me that justifies holding this suspension in place.
Over the last two days I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what could possibly have falsely flagged my account for this suspension.
There were only two achievements that I earned that can typically be associated with RMT: Hero of the Horde and Gladiator. Hero of the Horde was achieved almost entirely on stream and done with viewers/members of our community. All support is done voluntarily through the stream and has no guaranteed rating gained or lost in our groups.
I didn’t que a lot of arena as I mostly focused on RBGs and my stream for the season. I did manage to farm out a last minute gladiator for the mount. This was done q’ing half of the wins with a friend/streaming partner I have played with every single day for over a year now and the other half with one of his Bnet friend he has known since Legion who he connected me with.
I have NEVER sold any of these achievements, not even for gold. A simple look into my past ratings and achievements would provide anyone with half a brain enough information to deduce that I wouldn’t need to RMT purchase these titles for myself, which I have also NEVER done.
I have offered to show discord conversations and Bnet DMs organizing all of the 3v3 q’s, in addition the content that was streamed on twitch for RBGs.
If any RMT occurred from other people in my groups, it was done so entirely without my knowledge.
I have been dealing with Blizzards absolutely atrocious customer support for the last 3 days and have been met with almost nothing but Copy/paste responses. They have even threatened me about opening more tickets… Disgusting approach to say the least.
This is both sickening and depressing to know that my livelihood is at stake for something that I have never taken part in and that I am seen as “Guilty until proven innocent” without being presented any opportunity to prove my innocence.
