So i just unlocked dark iron dwarf and went to race change to it. I 100% know I picked DARK IRON and somehow after completing the customization it set me up as a regular DWARF. This is beyond frustrating. I’ve put in a ticket as it was done not even 15 mins ago.
Don’t think they can issue a refund for the race change either.
In-Game Items
We’ll refund most items that you buy with real money and receive in-game within 14 days of purchase, as long as you have not claimed, opened, or otherwise used the item.
Examples include:
World of Warcraft Shop Items and Bundles (Pets, Mounts, and Cosmetics)
World of Warcraft Character and Guild Services
World of Warcraft Tokens
StarCraft II Commanders and Mission Packs
Heroes of the Storm Boosts
I think your best course of action is to wait 3 days then pay for another race change, since you’ve already used the race change.
They’ll only do it if there is a bug within the system. Since this was human error, Blizzard support can not change it for you, even through via a ticket.
Sorry, but you’re only option is waiting the 72 hours, then pay for another race change.
EDIT: Had to cross out a line due to it being incorrect.
This is lovely. So it happened to another person and blizzard’s response is to wait and buy it again to try and see if it FAILs yet again. What happened to this company? This is their own UI or game issue. This is costing us money…
If there is a bug within the system, report it! Not via a ticket, but via in-game or via the bug report forums. GM’s will not revert or change the race for you.
EDIT: Thread moved to the bug report forums. There we go.
So they’ll just take my money and not apply the right service. I’ll go to my bank then. Tired of this company’s greed costing us money. Thank you to the previous person before for pointing out this has happened before AND not helping. Better for my case.
Mistakes happen. Blizzard sometimes will help fix them, but not always. If you’ve never had anything like this happen before, I would just wait on your ticket and see what they say. If they decline then you’ll have to decide what to do from there, just keep in mind if you chargeback the purchase the character will be locked until you re-pay the money, and they could lock the account but I actually don’t know if they do that for character services.
The problem that you have is that player mistakes happen, and anyone who regrets their intentional usage of a service can just say oh no I didn’t do that it was a bug. If that allowed them to be refunded and nothing else did, then literally everyone would just say that. So unless blizzard can actually find some sort of evidence that their service is bugged and you didn’t just make a mistake, then they will go by their policies. Because let’s be honest, the odds that you made a mistake here are verging on 100%, despite your honest feelings that you didn’t.
