you can do the work and put me on ignore. i’m not here to accommodate you.
Calling a fictional character a diversity hire because of their race/gender is, in fact, racist, LMFAO. Because at it’s premise it implies that any black, female characters are DEI characters and thus implies that there shouldn’t be any black female characters at all. Just say it with your chest at least. Why can’t racists every be real about their racism and instead try to hide behind buzzwords?
And idk what you were doing in Hallowfall and Ajh’Kahet but I spent much more than 30 minutes with Faerin
Anyways she’s a really nice new character and you can enjoy the next several expacs with her being in the story womp womp
What’s kind of interesting here is that this is basically the first chapter of the first book in a series, yeah it’s not going to be as fleshed out as the full story because…it isn’t. I’ve been enjoying it well enough aside from the first zone feeling like it dragged on a tad.
I do enjoy all of them actually, as well as Camus and Solzhenitsyn
However that is not what I expect from warcraft writing, so far TWW hasn’t dropped the ball on my expectations.
Exactly this.
I’m just happy I haven’t heard the stomach churning cutsey disney chromie voice yet
It feels the faux Gollum voice was someone saying, “Here, hold my beer”.
If I never hear chromie again I might die happy.
Oh, if you want a fun quest, you should do the spider ones. Specifically, the one where the wife asks you to fetch her husband for her.
for me, the dialogue is made much worse with the atrocious voice acting. it seems like there are dramatic pauses written into it which makes it so fake.
none of the dialogue or voice acting seems normal
This is something people will dismiss as just chauvinism, but it’s true.
I remember in Basic Training hearing a battalion of males marching. It sounds like thunder. A female battalion on the march sounds like a cheerleading squad of kids.
It’s just how it is.
Omg drag herrrrrr
Most wrong statement I’ve ever heard on these forums.
Even the Van Cleef storyline was cooler than most of what we have now.
Not just the dialogue, but the pauses are everywhere in the cutscenes too. There’s no sense of urgency when characters are fighting, somehow they have all the time in the world to stop and make thoughtful faces, then act surprised when the other person gets the upper hand
most of the people on these forums are gen z now and have no idea what a good story is. None of them played any of the bioware classics like kotor/mass effect/dragon age/baldurs gate. That is peak video game writing and most of the people who play this game think the story is decent which is hilarious.
They should’ve done something like raising their lamps as they approach the fire while Alleria consumes its dark flames
