Wrathion makes Prince

Wrathion makes Prince look like Clint Eastwood.

What is up with the new art style?

Things used to look more like this:

Not a big fan of this straight-to-dvd kids’ show looking stuff. Lack of detail, washed out textures, plain faces with over-the-top animations.

Wrathion likes to be called daddy not prince.

Wooo that reach.

Inspector Gadget got some competition.

Imagine not being able to tell the difference between ingame cut versus an actual cinematic trailer.

OP probably believes NFTs and AI are sound investments while wanting 60fps hand drawn animation.

I mean, he’s a bit fresh-faced in a D’Artagnan kind of way, but so what? Not everyone needs to be a grizzled badass.

(Also, have you seen Clint Eastwood when he was younger?)

The top image looks to be either from an ingame cutscene or promotional material (probably a screenshot from a cutscene pasted on to a static background), while the bottom is from the Vanilla WoW Opening cinematic.

As to why the top can’t look like the bottom? The game engine literally can’t handle that kind of detail, and it wouldn’t be right for Blizzard to require everyone to have a top of the line gaming setup just to play the game.

As for the “cartoony” graphics, it has always been like that AFAIK, maybe you were just sleeping on the cartoonish graphics until you’ve gazed upon the visage of Papa Wrathion there.

I guess they were thinking: Didney Wurl does it with their princesses/princes, and it sells :man_shrugging:

Lol you are comparing an undead to a dragon visage meant to look like a living human. They are gonna look different. And the first looks so much better than the second.

Ha ha yeah who would do that… :eyes:

Imagine not realizing both images are captures from cinematics. Both. That is not in-game graphics…clean you glasses, nerd.

Wooo that non-sequitur.

Do you really believe that?

I get it, that’s how you imagined your pixelated undead warlock looked like back in 2004

Look again, genius.

you’re comparing a full prerendered CG cinematic, with an in engine cutscene, not exactly a fair comparison.
