When something is so hyped up and put on a pedestal, it’s easier for it to disappoint. Some may argue that this isn’t even wrath, that it’s a mutant version of the game. This isn’t 2008 anymore and most of us are running on nostalgia but it’s time to leave the past behind and go towards the future. Except for vanilla classic. It’s the OG and will always be great no matter what. I think it’s safe to say that this is the end of classic as we know it. It was fun while it lasted. I’ll see you guys in OG Azeroth if it ever becomes a thing again. Or I’ll see you in dragonflight where we way spread our wings and fly together into the horizon.

All wrath has done is split up an already divided playerbase. Personally, I hope DF does well so they keep throwing money into classic.

It wasn’t set up to fail, it had all the trimmings that the best period in WoW had in terms of content and features had, the new developers just excel at screwing stuff up.

It will never be the same because we arent the same players as we were back then - and gaming skill in general is leaps and bounds better. It really is just a nostalgia trip.

Exactly, I was in my senior year of high school when wrath came out and obviously my life was so different then. But it’s been what 12 years? Of course so much has changed you know?
Wrath was always a bad expansion. you just remember it fondly because you’re a wrath baby and havent seen the game when it was better.

I’m enjoying quite a bit actually. I wasn’t to sure at first cause I was playing solo but now that I’ve been playing with a guild it’s been pretty good. For someone that can’t sink but maybe 3-4 hours a day I’ve still been able to make progress and I’m actually surprised to have the gear I currently have.
and level 10’s. I’d like to know if a numerology thing there or its jsut the masses of these posters lemming being level 10 just because.

Yep, I’m not buying these threads anymore. They are too fishy.
It’s not just the “I’m quitting” it’s the “It’s the end of the world as we know it! The game is dead! it’s a catastrophe!”
It’s all just super dramatic and not reflected in the actual game at all.

Battlegrounds are EXTREMELY fun in Wrath in a way that retail isn’t (outside of ranked bgs, sometimes depending on them meta).
If you aren’t having fun, I suggest some WSG and AB and EotS.
