I’d say since August 9th is the deadline for server merges, pre-patch will probably be implemented that day and WOTLK will drop on the 23rd. Definitely too far away but more bearable than I’d have thought.

no they said 2-6week prepatch since wrath era might be endgame. As for tbc era I am sure that will happen after wrath era once everyone has shadowmourne. So maybe september release in time for the new holiday events.
Where did they say this? I’m all for a longer pre patch but I’m a bit skeptical tbh.

My guess is a 4 week prepatch at least to give people time to kevel DKs

No thanks. WoTLK in December please, TBC is far and away the superior expansion to wrath and we should enjoy sunwell for longer before it gets tossed into the history bin since we don’t get era servers.

They are saying that toons may be unavailable for up to 2 weeks after they consolidate servers on August 9. I’d think the pre-patch would start after a that’s settled.

The absolute earliest date for a prepatch would be August 30th. They can’t make the pvp season less than 15 weeks, and they would be spitting in the face of everyone enjoying SWP if they cut it any shorter. August 30th would be a timely prepatch release for their quarterly earnings call, which is probably what they are setting the release for.

The quicker we get to wrath the better - so that wrath can also be over and done with asap. The people who only want wrath will then know what it feels like for their fav expansion to be done in the blink of an eye.
