Wrath of the Lich King Classic™ Arrives September 26

Y’all must know when prepatch and fresh are going live. It makes no sense to have a launch date and no fresh/prepatch date.

The beta is not the current version. It doesn’t live update. You clearly don’t know what you’re talking about.

amazing. so much fun.
I did it once.

WoTLK isn’t near as long of a leveling process because of the talents and dmt tweaks you guys plus rebalance.

You said 70 so thinking you did not play tbc?

Pre patch is sometime between now and launch, idk why people insist on more information - Blizzard

TBC-C launched June 1st 2021. Fifteen months is literally not two years. (Im ready for WotLK personally, but I do see the appeal of keeping one Era server for people that want it to transfer to.)

Anyone who hasn’t already moved, doesn’t care about that character being locked for pre-patch. That’s why they gave so much warning.

Prepatch will be the 16th, 23rd or 30th, depending on how much PTR time they need. No later.

I am not talking about the player side of things. Think of the database management. Upgrading a database for the new changes while migrating characters with old formats? Not a good idea.

They don’t have ‘old formats’. Behind the scenes, these characters are exactly the same as the Retail ones. I’d bet those new moves will get a “free respec” when they first log on too, so that they don’t have to muck with the one difference.

will the restriction on boosting a Blood Elf character to Level 58 be removed? if so, when – pre-patch or when Wrath drops?

I would love to know this as well. The restrictions on BC races didn’t make sense to begin with.

when does RDF arrive tho

The original blue post stated the only restrictions are boosting death knights, there was no mention on any other races :ok_hand:t3:

hmm, but it doesn’t seem to mention what happens to existing unused Lv58 boosts… unless they just automatically get upgraded to Lv70 boosts, in which case i have no complaints :stuck_out_tongue:

There was a reply I believe on Twitter stating the 58 boost will still have the original restrictions on Belf and Draenei. This was a while back

Oh yes, sorry I miss read your question! Yeah I’m not sure on the 58 boost… hopefully they remove those restrictions as it seems pointless to have them now

especially considering they’re going to introduce race changes… you can just boost another race and race change to belf/draenei (at least if it’s not a pally/shaman) haha

EDIT: found the twitter reply https://twitter.com/BrianBirming/status/1519832772164001792
April is semi recent-ish so that’s kinda lame. guess i’ll make an orc or a troll then.

Given that the Twitter post was a while back, I wonder if anything has changed.

I picked up a boost on sale but realized a moment too late that it won’t work on Draenei.

Add LFD please. :pear:

So wait, I am able to install WOTLK classic, but it’s not live yet, correct?
