Brand new to Classic here so be gentle. Will the BC Classic morph into Lich King, or do they start a new game?
its changing to wotlk classic. bc will be gone forever. with the prepatch it pretty is gone with the changes to talent trees. classes are completely different now.
Lich King is live already. Northrend and level 80 don’t open up until the 26th.

That is how your retail came to be. No hindsight to try and preserve vanilla.

If I start a toon on Classic Lichy…when Cata closes it down everything goes away and they start fresh with level 1’s?
no they have stated wrath will have fresh servers seperate from the regular servers. unlike bc.
That hasn’t been determined yet, but it seems unlikely given how popular Lich is proving.
I don’t care for BC anymore, but I’m sympathetic to those that prefer it.
With DF, that’s ten expacs to date, and ten demographics to have to appeal too.
What next after DF, more retail-like development?
The game is going to implode upon itself if they keep the same tired 2-year business model continuing.

Even without my LFD, Lich King is answering my question as yes.
Are DF and the retail development meeting that standard… fun? Only you can answer that, as retail is alien to me now.
i’m not arguing that. my point is some of the replies about tbc disappearing forever on the tbc/wrath classic forums are extremely toxic.
Somewhat justified. They mishandled TBC classic.
