I’ve seen a Northrend-esque expansion coming since we learned Taelia was a Fordragon, so I’m pretty excited if this is true. Really looking forward to it - a world revamp and player housing would be pretty nice but I doubt it’ll happen. 
I’m honestly hype for the Bolvar, if only because I can’t figure out how to take these Wrath goggles off my face
I don’t trust the lower image but I’ve been wrong almost literally every other time I’ve assumed an absolute in regards to Blizzard so, I dunno.
We’re only a few days out, I imagine it’ll be a spectacle regardless so the entertainment will be there.
I really don’t know what I could say about the expansion itself or it’s content though. I feel like if I speak anything hopefully, it’ll just cosmically guarantee that it doesn’t happen whereas if I try to assume things that won’t happen it’ll seal the deal. Blizzard has a lot of work to do before I so much as consider handing off money for an expansion let alone a subscription.
In example; I think Bolvar could be a really good character and could be a really standout figure in a northrend 3.0 expansion… But I also have zero faith that he wouldn’t fall into all of the existing pitfalls that soured BfA, let alone anything that came before. And if they did sour Bolvar, you’ve immediately soured most of the expansion because friend or foe, he’d be a cornerstone of the entire experience. So if it’s all good and cool and fun, awesome I would love to experience it… But we have to get that far first.
These are distraction images. Obviously they need a lore reason for new DKs, and Bolvar is a sensible character to put in charge of that.
Whether he just gets a scenario cameo or is the next Khadgar remains to be seen.

The word Bolvar has lost all meaning
There was a time during the Legion era where I once considered a future expansion revisiting the Scourge and related things as a joke; as part of that joke bringing the artifact concept to armor. I never seriously considered either would actually come true.
Setting that aside I am ambivalent. I’ve lost a lot of confidence in the devs over the course of this expansion cycle, but despite myself I can’t help but be interested in at least seeing what they have planned. Also the DK leaks intrigue me.
I still don’t think Shadowlands is real but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was. It’s getting hard to be surprised anymore.
I pretty much knew we were having another expansion with the Lich King once Bolvar was acting sketchy in Legion, and then once Taelia showed up and started dropping hints at who her father was I immediately knew it was Bolvar and that sealed the deal for me. At that point I knew the next expansion was going to have something with the Lich King in it.

This one in particular makes me think of the Culling of Stratholme but everyone and every other word is Arthas.
So, let’s see here…
Splattolands is going to be a rehash of Wrath of the Lich King. Battle for Azeroth was a rehash of Mists of Pandaria. Do we count Warlords of Draenor as a rehash of Burning Crusade?
In any event, I guess we’ve still got a rehash of Cataclysm to get through.
Hoping that all the necromancer assets aren’t going to be just for islands. Bolvar isn’t down with Sylvanas. Interesting.

On one hand, neat. When I saw the MMOChamp leak with the T-shirts, it did seem a bit too high quality to be fake.
On the other hand, I see only darkness before me. Those earlier Shadowlands leaks were oof. The real Battle for Azeroth was the friends we made along the way.

I would be very interested if Bolvar makes a big comeback. He was incredibly active in Legion and then suspiciously quiet but for our investigations into Vol’jin’s spirit and who made him name Sylvanas as Warchief.
Especially since he is the self-styled Jailor of the Damned and has a vested interest in keeping the Old Gods sealed up given his castle is made from fossilised Old God blood.
I’m sorry, Bolvar. I can’t let you do Bolvar.
(On a side note, Bolvar was my favorite character in Vanilla, so I fully expect they’ll ruin him now. Because that’s what Blizz does.)
