You can continue to play WotLK, it’s just that there’d be content ahead of it. It’s not like Northrend and it’s dungeons and raids are removed come Cataclysm you can still go into them it’s just that they’re no longer the highest level content that you can do.
I wouldn’t expect WotLK Era servers until after Cata launches. They want to shake as many players down for their Deluxe Cata packages.
Your current WotLK toons will now be rushed through each WoW expansion until you hit Legion.
My advice? If Blizzard doesn’t give you their plans for your toons in advance (e.g., Era support), don’t bother unless you’re not a casual that can actually fully consume the content on Blizzard’s enhanced cadence release.
Me? I went back to Classic Era and dropped out of these progression servers. I hope they add TBC Era at some point. No more Deluxe package purchases from me.
I actually think this is pretty solid advice. If you don’t like 18ish months per expansion progression for right now, era is probably the best place for you to play until/if the permanent servers of your liking comes out.
If neither of those options sound appealing and you don’t play retail I would say time to unsubscribe and find something else to do.
In my opinion: Cata is and was garbage for the most part. They saved money by not playing.
Was that necessary? What kind of hollow and meaningless life do you live that you feel the need to make someone else feel as if they are inconsequential? You must be a really awesome person in real life.
You just said it’s better off without them. Make up that feeble mind of yours.
Are y’all serious? No, Wrath raids and dungeons aren’t being literally deleted when Cata comes out, but Wrath class design is. And obviously no one will be doing Wrath content. I really enjoyed enhance in BC, but I don’t enjoy the Wrath version. No era server for BC deleted my preferred version of the spec. It’s the same for people who prefer Wrath iterations of class design. I wish I could downvote your inane and deliberately obtuse posts.
False, people will run WotLK content for transmog and mount runs. People do it for TK so I see no reason why they wouldn’t do it for EoE, OS, Ulduar and ICC. Not to mention Glory of the Raider achievements.
It’s not like Northrend and it’s dungeons and raids are removed come Cataclysm you can still go into them it’s just that they’re no longer the highest level content that you can do.
…Is false, you said I’m a liar who tries to pass of my my lies condesendingly as if I know what I’m talking about. In truth I didn’t lie and no, they’re not changing how WotLK works in Cataclysm because WotLK in Cata is just Cata. Any additional/changed systems added for Cata isn’t a system for WotLK, the content within Northrend remains the same save for like 1 or 2 quest lines. You can continue to do any of the dungeons/raids and you can get all of the gear from every raid (except for ToGC Tribute Chest).
To me you just seem to be openly hostile to anyone that disagrees with your opinion.
No, you literally cannot. Playing Wrath content in the Cataclysm expansion is not the same as playing it when it is current. I’m sure you know this.
It’s a completely different experience to do Wrath content at level 85 compared to doing it at the intended level with the intended number of people and intended class design. lmfao. So disingenuous.
Um, ok. It’s still being completely changed by Cata. If you prefer Wrath class design, too bad, it’s gone when Cata comes. Stop playing dumb about why people want era servers.
