It will not. The little interest that Wrath has is for progression servers exclusively.

There’s a reason Classic Era only started getting popular again relatively recently, during Classic Wrath.

I’d consider tooling around in a Wrath Era server, mainly because leveling is easier.

That’s because Classic Wrath was tampered with via #somechangesisnowok. I myself will be headed back to classic if and when era is not continued.

Also I’m only basing this of my own observations, but I don’t see Wrath as dying or dead at all. I see plenty of ppl playing it and doing content on different aspects of the game, not just max level meta culture.

Right, because Classic Era didn’t have any changes to it?

The reality is Wrath is just not that great. It’s always been overhyped.

None big enough for me to notice it wasn’t really vanilla.

But again, it doesn’t change the premise. We didn’t get the Wrath we wanted. Those in my camp at least.

If you couldn’t tell back then, surely you can not tell now either.

Meaning what exactly?

erm… that’s just your wrong opinion…:triumph:

except when you look at private server populations over the years, and how that population is distributed between expansions, its always been classic and wotlk that get numbers. and still is.

Wrath isn’t perfect, but it’s better than Vanilla and Cata. Wrath private servers have existed for 10+ years now. People will play Wrath Era.

I agree - TBC was the best expansion.

I don’t think they’ll drop Cata at all, frankly, and there will be calls for a restart of classic era from scratch. The whole reason people wanted classic in the first place was problems caused by late wrath/cata mechanics like RDF, LFR, easy catchup gear, and essentially the ability to literally spam lfr, sit afk, never speak to anyone, and still somehow see the biggest baddest bosses in the game with no work put in at all.

Basically, I don’t think it’ll be worth Blizzard’s time to just replicate a time when people started quitting WoW en-masse because everything felt worthless, among other things.

Your analysis is not completely right.
Classic happened because people were unhappy with the direction of the game. It can be any arbitrary reason, whether it is LFD, LFR, iLvl, hard dungeons, whatever.
Each expansion is different and each expansion is liked and disliked by different people. Back in '16, people just had the possibility to play on Vanilla-Wrath private servers as these were the most advanced and scripted cores. Nowadays we have the possibility to play more modern expansions such as Cata, Mop and Legion. There is a community for that.

Keep in mind that Cata is 13 years old. Thats the age when Classic Classic was announced in 2019. Cata is very different to modern retail, and many people left retail for reasons that have nothing to do with what happened in Cata.

Some people left when TBCC was announced, others came. Some people left when WOTLKC was announced, others came. The same will happen with Cata Classic. To what degree? Nobody knows.

Which is backed by the numbers.

Care to show me those numbers then? Why did Classic Wrath do as poorly as it did then? Why did so many people abandon it for NON-FRESH Classic era servers?

The dozen or so people that will play is not enough incentive, sorry to say.

Just ignore the person above me.

If you see a lowbie with thousands of posts, never reply or acknowledge them. Eventually they will get tired of talking to themselves and go away, hopefully.

WotLK Era Hype

When I get tired of retail, boom WotLK.
When I get tired of WotLK, boom retail.
When I get tired of both, boom Classic Era.

Letting a person completely destroy your argument without so much as levying a simple rebuttal is a good way to ensure Wrath era never makes it in the game. At least you’ve made it easy.

You get what you get. Blizzard cares little for your tears. I suggest you enjoy wrath while it’s here.

What kind of fantasy world do you live in where your opinion or his matters lol.

If my opinion didn’t matter you wouldn’t have responded to me to tell me my opinion doesn’t matter.

Just because you feel that YOUR opinion doesn’t matter does not mean no one else’s does either.
