I really with blizz would just come out and say that the boosts and other changes were profit related. Hiding the fact just makes them seem more scummy.

Well companies exist to turn a profit so everything they do can be seen as profit related.

It was profit motivated, but it was also essential in propping up the game population. Without paid boosts TBC would be in dire straights right now, just like SOM is.
New players coming into the game is very important and it’s critical barriers of entry are reduced to keep player population healthy.
I see that you spelt bots as new players.
