I have never paid gold or been paid gold for someone to play with me in a dungeon/raid in Classic.
Blizzards going to add LFG whether you like it or not lol, it’s a new era and most players want it this time around. They were prob going to add it anyways, they just did this so they can turn around add it in and claim they listen to player feedback!.

You keep talking about guilds, saying people should join guilds, run dungeons with your guilds, etc, etc. I assume you have a guild and are doing this, so how exactly would the lfd affect you?!?

How does it take away from the game? I see it this way as a large number of classic players are adults with limited playing time these days want it so they can still get things done. The players who have all the time in the world to play don’t want it or are on higher population servers. Most of the classic servers are small populations now with people just raid logging and it makes finding a group harder than it needs to be. If you don’t like LFD then don’t use but why ruin it for other people who do want it.

That’s not true. Blizzard removed it based off of players feedback which is proven to be a lie. The change is for money. You will get a LFG unrelated to the original wotlk LFG as collateral damage for their boost selling sceme

They did not use the word “players”. They said “community”, which would also include streamers, friends of friends who used to like vanilla but haven’t played in years, and some guy in the office.

But we have no source seeming they took feedback or a majority decision in general. No surveys, no forum posts, no interviews. Therefor there is no way to tell where they pulled from a pool to determine a decision. They lied to everyone in order to mask the change as community ruled but in reality it was to make boosts more convenient because LFD makes it extremely to level alts. That’s money lost

They would say they didn’t “lie”, and I would agree. They said what they thought players would need to hear to fill in the gaps in their own mind with things like “they said they took a poll”, which didn’t happen. This is a common communication strategy on their part, saying something that suggests what players need to hear, then when players find out they didn’t get it, saying they didn’t say “that thing”.
The level of information they have given to us describes the process so inadequately that I think it was just Ion and a few other OG players who made the decision based on wishful thinking. We see this same wishful thinking in the forums by trolls channeling the devs, that the game would be returned to its former glory if only the group finder and all Cross Realm play was removed.

Yeah I mean they don’t care about the classic people nor the retail people. Whatever makes them money they will do it “for us”
Anyways, what I believe they will do is create a soft lfg addition as collateral damage, “for us!”. This lfg will not be the same as wrath LFD, and may be a more refined version of the current tbc one and they will call it good.
I am very certain they will not be adding wrath LFD ever. But I also believe the game will still play out just fine, it’s literally not gonna “kill” wrath and they know it. We can simply choose to play or not. I myself will be playing, I don’t really care what they do with lfg cause I play wrath for other reasons. However I easily understand the outrage and imo the LFD shoulda been in. Perhaps even LFD for just your server but we can’t have that, because it takes away from server transfers money
Bandaid fixes they are forced to implement after many players have left are never a good replacement for the thing they should have known not to make part of the game in the first place.
I didn’t play wrath, so I didn’t have any nostalgia about it. But I could see that it might be an option in the future if I ran out of things I wanted to do and people playing it were having fun.
Now? I feel like I just took one of those push polls where they ask you, “How strongly do you support this issue?” Then they read you a paragraph that may be real or may just be intended to make you change your mind entirely and re-ask the question, “How do you feel about this issue now, are you more or less likely to support it?”
I wasn’t planning on playing, but I am less likely to consider playing now.
LFD for just your server would actually increase server transfers on dead servers, because those people would be aware that groups were easier to find on certain other servers. However, that would be at the expense of those who would quit rather than pay a large amount of money for the privilege of being permitted to access game features.
I meant to mention that the LFD was cross server which would take away from transfers, my typo.

The strongest argument you can make for preventing the removal of dungeon finder from wraith is unsubbing, this action bypasses all the people that don’t matter and hits them straight in the wallet.
No use trying to convince other players on the forum, especially when you consider how many thought Blizz’s half-assed spell batching emulation was a good idea. Or that not adding guild banks from the start of BC would be a good thing.

LFG not available for classic and tbc was understandable since it wasn’t part of the game back then, but LFG not available for wrath is just odd. Since my server is dying if it isn’t already dead, this will definitely put it in its grave. Paying for a transfer doesn’t feel justified with all the server hopping going on and would be a slap to the face if blizz, all of the sudden, decides to put LFG back in after the payment transfer was made.

LFD or RFD is fine as long as it doesn’t teleport players to the dungeon.
I agree, I was so hyped for Wrath. When he said they were not adding it my level of hype dropped to almost nothing.
