We’re also still semi-new into an expansion, in the middle of a PvP season, and the majority of guilds on this realm aren’t cutting edge or fast AoTC and are still progressing on content, which takes people out of the capital.
BFA was it’s own behemoth of issues, and Shadowlands content is still relatively fresh for a lot of people.
guild activity on wra overall isn’t what it used to be - not to say events aren’t happening and that guilds don’t exist, but that a lot of the events that are happening are mostly cross-faction type things and a lot of guild activity is in places that a lot of non-guild folk don’t/can’t interact with
activity in SW has been picking up significantly but is incredibly dependent on specific people starting things, because as stated before, guild activity isn’t what it used to be and lots of stormwind mainstay guilds simply do not exist anymore. crime rp type stuff is picking back up, and i’m sure more will follow.

This is really what it comes down to. Everyone’s varying perspectives and interpretations of “active” and “dead” aside, the distribution you see in faction population between the two servers is a thing years in the making. MG has become known as the place for the Alliance to be while WrA has become known as the spot for Horde. So to answer your question, yes, WrA-A may very well feel dead when compared to MG-A. It may also seem healthy when compared to truly dead RP servers. It may feel fine for those who prefer a smaller, tighter-knit community. It may feel insufficient for those who prefer MG’s level of RP volume.
Ideally, both servers would have a sizable community for both factions.
It’s good to see WRA-A grow, and it’s a trend I hope continues. A lot of old guard guilds of the day died during BfA and it was pretty disheartening to see, so I’m hoping these new guilds fill that void.
I’ve mentioned this in another thread before but also keep in mind that while WrA is an RP server people do more than RP on WrA. Shadowlands is a very player-invested expansion, demanding more commitment to keep ahead than say Legion or even BFA. Folks are out there playing the game right now on a server that has it’s population split relatively evenly.
Yes, WrA is a more Horde leaning expansion but also from my time being here(since Cata) WrA-A wasn’t a very city centric RP center. I’ve seen more events organized around Duskwood, Westfall, various garrisons and so forth than I’ve seen any RP revolving around Stormwind itself.
I have a genuine questions because it seems we’re all just talking to a brick wall. Why don’t you just stay on Moon Guard?
Not to say I don’t want more folks on WRA to play with but it really just seems most of the people who post about WRA being dead or less than other servers are just wanting to cause a fuss.
A brick wall? That’s a bit harsh. I get that I said something that you don’t like but insulting me isn’t called for. Also like I said even if I WANTED to go to Moon Guard I have 8 max levels on WRA. I wouldn’t feel like paying to transfer them all.

You’re not the brick wall (as far as I know, we will see soon enough) but the brick wall is collectively the people who come to the forums to ask us why our server is dead when they compare it to another sever. You’re just a brick in the wall, or whatever Pink Floyd said.

I think there’s just some frustration(and exhaustion) in the fact that several people have given you explanations to the state of our server, from people who have been on this server much longer than yourself, but you insist on questioning everything presented. And while this may not be your case, there’s been too frequent of bad actors whom do this that it may come off as ingenuine.
WrA isn’t MG. We have players who migrate between both from time to time but overall we’re two different communities with different populations, densities and habits. If you want megalopolis stormwind style RP, this may not be the place. But WrA has a different offering that you may enjoy if you follow some of the advise or solutions presented above.
I could explain why this figure is low but I’m not going to and actually it will be $20,000,000.
I’m not paying that much to obliterate this franchise. Especially since Blizzard has done most of the work.
