Its as healthy as you make it. Everything in moderation. Its a game after all. Personally I feel that the best form of pvp comes through well organized RP-PvP between two organized groups and done via war-game.

Hey, Thankus! It’s been awhile. Always loved the quality of your WPvP vids.
As for your question, yes and no. Yes, in that you can access a lot of WPvP, much of it small scale. No, because we’re sharded with a few RP realms somthe rivalry aspect is much less.

Ed Horde dominates wpvp at the moment but the rebellion has started. The Alliance will be reforged.

It really depends on the sharding. I enjoy Wpvp and usually have fun while doing so. If I see a couple of folks fighting, I will leave them along unless it is at a WQ, flight path or someone who is not 120 getting camped. I do my best not to kill low levels but sometimes death happens to them. I have even been known to help a low level low alliance player at a world quest by letting them get aggro and killing the mob/boss for them. Kindness goes a long ways in game.
Right now the Horde is doing well on ED, but sometimes the Alliance like to cook some steak or as a friend would say "put me out to pasture". ;)
We have plenty of guilds to pick from on the Alliance side: Ashen Vale, The Päck, Coldridge Co., and many others to choose from. These are favorite ones <3 <3 <3

Wargaming is not true WPvP. It is just instanced pvp that you do with prearranged groups. It is completely not the same at all.
True world pvp cannot be controlled.
To answer OPs question. Nothing is healthy if you allow it to get to you.
Just as an example, some people get upsest if they lose a game of golf.
In my opinion its not wpvp thats unhealthy, its the reactions some people have when they lose.

WPVP is fine. The problem is with perceptions and folks expectations haven't changed with the system changes.
As we've always said in CBH, we make our own content. There's no need to have the system create it for you.
That being said there's ways to ensure (at least as close as possible based on the comments by Dev's in various interviews) an environment similar to pre-system changed ED, which is:
"Warmode: OFF & PVP:ON in non-BFA zones"
Obviously, this would take coordination since there's little incentive to be in those zones otherwise. In that sense I would say 'random' WPVP is just that...completely random, but there are still opportunities.
And in Warmode: ON, I haven't seen an imbalance as to faction on WPVP wins. Seems pretty even in my experience to date.

I AGREE with you 100%.
To add to your comment just so others know that the whole area you are fighting in becomes balanced. An example might be there are 30 horde in Nazmir and 30 alliance but you are in the swamp with 29 alliance while the other horde are in a different location of Nazmir. So while the zone is balanced you may not feel that it is so at that moment.
I bleed blue but the Horde definitely has a stonger "presence" on ED atm. ISR, D7, Syndicate, Hellscreams are all ready to fight at a drop of a hat.
Alliance side we have Clan Battlehammer and Warbringer being the stalwarts on our server in terms of wpvp history. TAE is there but they got their own thing going on which many of us ED folks aren't really in to...LFG.
So i'm stoked that we've all been getting together these past few weeks, all of us flying different guild banners and bringing the fight back for ED Alliance!

https://imgur.com/a/q0SVMhJ while not the same, some pics from last nights RebelAlliance fights in voldun and zulzudar-- we were having fun at the temple in zulzudar when all of sudden lag I have never seen appeared, because LFG group wanted to crash the zulzudar server and ruin the fun.
**LFG totally is what ruins WPVP to me, you should NOT be able to LFG outside of instances in my opinion, or at the very least, only see same realm type if using LFG.

game doesn't tolerate guild v guild anymore... to the point that during the fight the game will d/c groups of ppl and transport them out of the region... so some are still willing to go thru that... a lot are not...
outside of that... wpvp is still fun and very active... all be it better kept to smaller skirmishes that a lot of the time heaviy favor one side or the other wen it comes to random encounters... but is good wen both sides are close and aware... fun is usually had either way by me...

I don't know if I'd consider that some of the best WPvP Blizzard ever had. I'd call it a stretch to call that actual PvP outside of the most literal sense of the word. Just the existence of flying mounts make me raise an eyebrow. The fact that the person in the raid filming a lot of the shots is literally not doing anything (really apparent in the second video) sums it up. If you want a real fun game, count how many seconds between each ability press.
The bar for massive WPvP has never been high, getting lower with the more people added to it.
It's a beast that has been dying for a long time. Sharding is the final nail in the coffin.
If you want real WPvP, grab 1-4 friends, and own a area.
