I used to be against people rolling for stuff I didn’t think they could use but after maxing a fury warrior and Warlock it shows Warriors need Agility Neck, belt and rings plus hunters main weapon mainly because they are no Strength items Available and warlocks use a bunch of Spirit items .this info should be included in the load in tips so wars don’t break out when rolling and everyone Blocks everyone.
Does it say anywhere that warriors shouldn’t roll on items with agility or that warlocks shouldn’t roll on items with spirit?
Let people roll on whatever they wish
An upgrade is an upgrade.
If im a hunter using a lvl 60ish ranged weapon and a stam + defence rating ranged weapon drops for lvl 70ish+ im rolling on it. The weapon damage alone is a massive upgrade. (Not including throwing weapons).
Not being perfect stats does not stop an item from being an upgrade.
This is why nobody likes hunters.
Upgrade is upgrade.
Now as a hunter main i try to pass off melee weapons to melee first before i roll on it, but i consider that common courtesy.
Warriors rolling on agility is just as bad as hunters rolling on defense.
The spirit thing is painfully obvious though as affliction in particular gets a big bonus to spell power with spirit. It even makes it so 15 spirit to chest is a superior enchant compared to 10 all stats. Any caster that isn’t aware of that has no business raiding so doesn’t deserve any pre bis in the first place.
Warriors and Ret both benefit quite a lot from agility. That is something anyone should know. The fact that you don’t means you aren’t very bright.
Im not a caster but this doesnt sound right to me.
10 spirit and 10 intellect should be better for a warlock than 5 more spirit at the cost of 10 intelect. (Not including the stam loss for survival, just looking at raw dps)
That would have to mean spirit is a better stat by stat weight by over 200% on intelect because thats saying 5 spirit is worth more than 10 intelect.
But again, i am not a caster or warlock player, so i very well could be wrong on this.
Edit: just looked into it and it makes sense. 1 spirit is basically 0.5 spell power. So 5 spirit is 2.5 spell power vs the ~0.16% critical strike the 10 intellect would yield you.
So spirit stat weight vs intellect is about 2.5 to 1. So it would need to be about 16+ intellect to be worth more than that 5 spirit.
Now if the warlock isnt using the glyph of life tap (which would be bad to begin with) it is about even with 5 spirit=10 intellect, but not using that glyph is a noticeable dps loss to begin with.
Its very low on their stat priority compared to hunters and rouges, some items are bis for warriors. And hunters and rogues can benifit from defense and parry as well.
Intellect is the absolute lowest stat priority for a warlock. We get no spell power from intellect and only a negligible amount of spell crit from it. Garbage stat basically. Sure, you gain some mana which reduces the amount you need to tap which becomes trivial the shorter fights get and the more you gear. Spell power is above everything which is why spirit is superior to intellect by a long shot.
Not everyone does. I saw a warrior with Journey’s End =\
Lol why would someone who has never played a warlock know that?
Yep, i just looked into it and edited my post.
Ya i passed journey end to our feral druid, bigger upgrade for her than me (its both of our bis, but bigger for her), but a warrior had it? Oof.
Ours has two of them and 2x black ice…
Can we get a DC to drop? MURLOC NO! Can we outfit everyone with random stuff that makes no sense but is funny? YUP!
DK in all healadin gear really makes you go…
No, intellect for a warlock is about the mana pool. Agility and strength are worst stats for warlock, intel is more important to a caster than agility is to warrior or pally. On those off pieces, its a throw away stat, and the only reason it’s bis is other stats outweigh other options on a sim, which btw, is very specific to that. build. Mix n match and it throws the sim off.
I kinda thought it was obvious I wasn’t taking about stats like agility being relevant to a warlock. Out of the stats we prioritize, Intelligence is dead last is what I mean.
As the expansion goes on Armor Penetration will become extremely good for Warriors so they will be rolling on mail and leather with that stat if plate in that slot doesn’t exist.
I remember a pair of bracers in ICC 25 caused some issues with leather wears because it was best for Warriors.
