I just noticed I replied to someone and it said 12… I know I had hundreds of posts (Dont recall when it was reset but it was very recently), I also had over 1,000 liked posts too and my user level was reset back down to basic??
Anyone else have the post count reset? Is it because I joined a different guild? I’m confused.
Did you server transfer since the last time you had a higher post count? I’ve had my post count reset after I had transferred from Bene to Sulf back in early September. Something about your forum character is connected to your character on that server, not your character overall. I believe this is because multiple characters of the same name can exist across multiple servers.
Example, if you were once Nohealsferu on Faerlina, the forum recognized you has ‘Nohealsferu-Faerlina’ but if you had transferred to let’s say Sulfuras, you would than be recognize by the forums as ‘Nohealsferu-Sulfuras’ which would be the way the forum can distinguish between you and some random next guy playing on Whitemane that also has your name. His forum identity would be ‘Nohealsferu-Whitemane’
Servers transfers reset my postcount.
Yeah, that’s why I’ve left this toon alone on Era Heartseeker. The cloned Cauchy is now on Remulos, with the same name. The forum code was kind enough to bounce to this toon once I moved on.

ahh i did transfer off maladath to altkandiland but i thought my posts stayed in tact… oh well, ya i actually cared i was just about to get the highest ranked status a normal non-VIP could have. Oh well!

FYI, you don’t need to put 10char in if you don’t want to. Type in < hiddentext > without the spaces at either end of the word and it disappears but still counts as characters.
Don’t have to, just makes the post cleaner

I transferred my original Mootwo and releveled it (but this was in TBCC, I didn’t go back for the other 9 levels) and never once regretted it. I like my posts to all be in the same place.
Imagine a world where post count is a measurement of stature. Why does it matter to you?
Happened to me as well, though quite a bit ago now.
Never transfered servers, never changed my forum character; just randomly happened.
