Wow vs DA:I

Ain’t upset. Making a proper use of forums. Burn out happens to anybody. I’ve been on burn out from WoW as well. And I know how it’s like to be burnt out, you feel like the game is dog poop. And I don’t discredit that I dislike Shadowlands. But truth is WoW always has something going on. So yeah it makes it a better investment then a 60 hour game, especially considering Origin is part of Steam now for dirt cheap, it’s not difficult to obtain Dragon Age for near free.

This had me rolling

Oh don’t play the victim I got no reason to report you.

I enjoy shadowlands and some of the system people don’t like I actually like but to each their own ya know

Dragon Age Inquisition is one of the worst games I’ve ever played… while WoW is a pretty decent game.

But they’re not really similar enough for a direct comparison to work outside of the ‘omg DA:I is awful and WoW isn’t COMPLETELY awful’ sense.

That is a very negative take

You’re more then allowed to enjoy it, your sub. I won’t tell you what to do.

My experience with DA:I was very negative, so yep… my take on it is very negative

Try then turn down difficulty if it is too hard

I know I just want to be friendly

Oh it was easy. Difficulty was absolutely not the problem. It was boredom. The characters were awful and unlikable, the story was trite and poorly written, and the gameplay mechanics were boring and uninspired.

Also, the power curve felt really underwhelming… I never felt like I got any stronger. Which wasn’t stopping me from progressing, it just didn’t feel fun to play for hours and hours and still feel like my skills didn’t get any more useful despite upgrading gear, skill ranks, and gaining levels.

The game’s presentation was pretty good though - both visual and audio. Well, except the character models. The character models were just TERRIBLE.

(Also: that party segment… the gala where you had to like… maintain your reputation while also trying to sneak around to find something… that might be the worst designed segment of any game I’ve ever played.)

Maybe turn up the difficulty and turn on trials you can also do it with your party members too

Why would higher difficulty make a game with awful characters, awful story, and boring mechanics any better?

More challenge doesn’t make bad mechanics good. It just means I’d ALSO be frustrated by difficulty too.

Well that is fair and the animation can be bad sometimes clipping too

Again that reply was not directed at you.

For story, gameplay, atmosphere & immersion, and RPG elements, Dragon Age Inquisition. DAI is not an MMORPG though, so it is a different genre.

DAI was so good, I played it twice, and the second time with all DLC’s. Can’t wait to visit Tevinter in the upcoming Dragon Age 4.
