Wow Token purchase issues

Tried purchasing a Wow Token earlier and was told “Payment not authorized”. So I tried Paypal, same thing.

I’ve reset my UI, I’ve removed the utils folder and scanned and repaired. I’ve contacted my bank to make sure there wasn’t a problem with my debit card. There are no problems with my debit card.

During this process I purchased $25 for my Bnet balance. I was able to add it with no problem from the same card that the in-game store is telling me “purchase not authorized”.

I’ve linked my bank acct through Paypal, same problem. I’ve added money to my PayPal balance, same problem. My bank says my card is good, funds are there, everything looks good.

I tried using my Bnet balance to purchase a mount (since I can’t buy a token with it) and I received the same “purchase not authorized” error.

I’ve opened a ticket but figured asking here couldn’t hurt at this point.

Is that verbatim the error message you keep getting? Google doesn’t seem to be forthcoming with anything about it from users or Blizzard.

Curious if parental controls got set up on your account.

And I’m not seeing it mentioned but may have skimmed over it, have you tried removing that payment method from your wallet and re-adding it?

Your ticket has a response, but yes - there are parental controls on this account.

I’ve never put parental controls on this acct (I’m 54). It also shows to allow all payments.

I updated it to do that, again, just to be sure.

I’ve read the in-game ticket response, it tells me to clear my browser cache and cookies. Made no mention of parental controls. I’ve updated them to be sure there is nothing in that area stopping me.

I did note that I was able to use the same debit card to purchase Bnet balance ($25) with no problem. But in-game, it’s a problem. It won’t even let me buy a mount using that Bnet balance.

I have the same issue. Also over 40 years old, but none of my payments are authorized.

Same thing happening to me, as well

It may not have anything to do with Parental Controls. We have been notified that we have an investigation ongoing into purchase issues.

I’ve done this numerous times, as recently as two weeks ago and now this. I have no idea what the problem is. I’ve done what the ticket suggested and everything in their faqs. Nothing has changed on my end, it’s the same PC i’ve used the last 3+ years. It’s virus protected and firewalled up. It’s rock solid.

This has to be an in-game issue. Esp if they’re saying I have parentl controls but after checking, I don’t.

Edit:
The issue has been resolved. Thanks for the help.

Whatever the problem is it’s not fixed at all yet. I tried to get a faction change from a friend and it’s not come through. Guess all we can do is hope the problem is fixed soon. Wanted to play Druid with friends and can’t due to this.

Your issue is not the same as the OPs issue. You aren’t attempting to get a token and you aren’t the one making a purchase, a friend was.

You have your own thread going so best to stick to one spot to avoid confusion. Sometimes it just takes a little while for payments to be finalized and purchases sent.
