I can only speak for myself but I haven’t paid a sub in cash in a long time been only using gold and I bought D4 epic edition and War Within epic edition all with WoW gold.
yeah I wonder why you can see who buys your stuff on the ah but you get no information related to anything in regards to the wow token.
Well I guess some people are buying them to put credit on their battlenet account. I did that a few years ago. Bought three tokens I think. Put them into credit, bought Diablo 2 remaster. Then didn’t play it much because it turns out it’s still a really old game with really outdated gameplay.
yes some people. How do most people farm gold now? Rare items. They do heroic or mythic trash and hope that they not only get the item to drop but that they win the roll. A lot of people also farm rare mounts for gold which can take days.
Still waiting for you to cite your sources
Doing world and weekly quests. There is easily 10-20K gold per character available each week.
That’s definitely not how “most people” make gold.
I just play the game and gold happens automatically. You don’t really have to farm. Do you just not save gold very well so you assume everyone else is broke as well?
They don’t show their wow token tos anymore apparently. Ask them…
I know that when wotlk token came out the price of that thing tanked insanely fast which can only mean 1 thing…it’s not hard to see what’s going on
It never did. The internet is forever. If what you said existed, you could find it.
There would also be countless threads complaining about it plus multiple articles…because it would be a huge deal.
If I was making stuff up this post would probably get removed by blizzard. Kind of crazy that you think people are actually farming over 200k regularly to buy game time in the games current state
The wow token transfers gold from one player to another with Blizzard holding the gold in escrow until a buyer is found. It doesn’t create gold out of thin air.
Player A hands Blizzard gold in exchange for gametime or battle.net balance
Player B hands blizzard real life currency in exchange for gold.
Player B cannot “buy gold” until Player A posts their gold to the Blizzard middleman.
The new trust me bro
If Blizzard actually policed threads based on factual information or bad takes, half of the threads on the forums would be gone.
That’s a horrible measure of proof.
I dunno there’s lots of posts still up of incorrect information. Not exactly the defense you think it is.
so why are they so desperate to hide all information related to wow tokens lmao. The game has a long history of players not wanting to farm gold and buying from third party websites…people just all the sudden want to farm gold for game time? especially now when it’s probably twice as hard to do so.
There’s no desperation.
Desperate? Pretty much all information is readily available other than who purchased your token. We have explanations of how it works and constantly updated price trackers…
its really simple. People never liked farming their own gold. It’s even harder and more boring to farm gold than it ever has been. It doesn’t take a genius to figure this out.
This is not accurate at all.
The wow token does not inject currency into the game economy.
What injects currency into the economy and causes inflation are the mission tables, and now world quests that give you hundreds of gold at a time.
You can make 12k every few days per character in Dragonflight doing gold world quests and dragon riding races.
That is how gold is created out of thin air in the quantities required to create inflation.
You would be correct to say that Blizzard added these sources of gold at the same time as the wow token, because they do this on purpose so there IS inflation.
Inflation incentivizes people to interact with the token system now, vs later.
Normally I would agree, but your posts really make me question that, lol.
