WoW token makes it too hard to farm gold

you really think every time someone requests gold there’s also someone farming the amount of gold required to buy a token. Even people who make gold making guides will tell you how hard farming gold is in retail.

I as a casual player just do quests/dungeons, take the Auctioneer addon, and just post stuff as-is based on others prices; that’s the extent of my messing with the AH.

I’m nowhere near purchasing a Token, never purchased a Token, and probably can’t understand this situation fully.

We’re just asking you to prove your statements. If it’s factual it should be easy to prove.

Yes, otherwise the prices wouldn’t constantly fluctuate. If Blizzard was providing the gold or controlling the market, the price would be constant and at a level to maximize profit.

I make between 100K-200K each week just doing WQs…so I guess that is a matter of opinion.

last time i looked at anything they posted was with the wotlk token and it clearly stated they were injecting the gold. why do you think when they introduce these things everything on the ah crashes?

Was to help curb people from buying gold from hack gold seller websites. Curious to know how many players accounts were stolen after buying gold from those shady websites over the years. My guess is that is why they ended up adding the token to wrath classic also.

To be fair, pay to win is a reasonable conversation to debate but we have beat that horse to a pulp at this point…

But claiming Blizzard manipulates the economy by buying tokens instead of players is just nonsense.

some players do buy them, but barely any people are actually farming gold. It’s far too time consuming to farm gold now. Only items that are even worth selling are rare items.

I’m so confused by this. Nobody buys wow tokens for game time? I don’t think that’s true. What do you mean blizz is injecting gold into the economy? So people can get their gold from the tokens in a timely manner? From who? You just said no one is buying them for game time!

People only get gold from selling tokens if someone buys a token for gold. It’s a trade between players. Blizz doesn’t give anyone gold directly.

I’ve made enough gold, in the last week, to buy a token, and I barely know what I’m doing. I just test out markets, see what sells, and restock as I sell out.

it’s an exaggeration lol. Barely anyone is buying them for game time. People don’t have the time to farm wow tokens for game time nor do they want to when the games economy is so heavily inflated.

You have absolutely no way of knowing that. There isn’t even any data you could use to infer that.
