WoW token makes it too hard to farm gold

Bots also contribute to this problem, but the fact that basically nobody buys wow tokens for game time means blizz is injecting the gold into the economy so people can get their gold from the tokens in a timely manner. Why destroy your own game when people pay a subscription to play the game? The auction house used to be worth engaging with years ago, but its hard to even consider playing when the game is so heavily p2w

People having the ability to buy WoW tokens makes it easier for them to have extra gold to spend on the Auction House.

Potential consumers having more cash in their pockets is good thing.

How do you know what players use tokens for?

I bought Diablo IV and half of the Epic Edition of War Within with tokens purchased using my gold. Have used them to buy character services and stuff off the digital shop in the past as well.

Also, has Iziz calmed down yet, or are you still sending Mandalorians down there?

I’m genuinely confused by what you are saying. Makes it hard to farm gold how? Because when I hear “farm gold”, I only think of raw gold. That is in no way affected by any outside source or system

Can I ask what you’re buying? I’ve been able to easily get high quality consumes and crafts with just what I earn from WQs.

I am also confused. Gold is very easy to make right now so I am not sure how the WoW token affects that.

Yeah, like if I boost for my gold. The wow token price is heavily affected by boosting, and boosting is heavily affected by the wow token. But this dude is talking about something entirely different.

You can easily make the gold for a token in this game if you know what to do. Quests give over 2K gold on the spot without dragonriding <you can get more here as well . I’m not tell you all my secrets but there is no problem creating gold.

you have to farm whats being bought…not what you want to farm.
I make plenty of gold farming the stuff thats selling…bots or no bots.

when you buy a wow token for $20 and post it on the AH, other players are not actually buying it. Some are but there are way more requests for people who want gold rather than game time. Which means blizzard will just give you the gold. This creates insane levels of inflation, worse than anything bots could do. Look at what happened to the AH before and after wow token was introduced. Same thing happened with runescape and bonds. Bonds got introduced and destroyed the grand exchange.

I have made the most gold this expansion from the auction house than any other expansion. So, it is definitely worth engaging with.

One, I love your name. Dxun is a planet in Star Wars, for those unaware. It was actually part of a binary system of planets whose atmospheres touched. Darth Bane rode a flying creature from Dxun to Onderon. Dxun was also the location of Freedon Nadds tomb.

But on topic, I was buying them for game time for quite a bit, but am now saving gold for a nest egg in War Within. Depending on IRL situations, I can use gold I have saved up to get game time.

What? That sounds a lot like a tinfoil hat theory. How do you know no one is buying it and Blizard is just giving the gold instead?

I will gladly accept any proof that that is occurring, but I HIGHLY doubt you have any.

a very small percentage of the player base farms gold to pay for their game time. It is incredibly hard to farm gold in retail compared to classic even if the classic server is infested with bots at the time.

its how the token works its in their tos?

  1. You’re wrong, it is incredibly easy to make gold in retail.
  2. That isn’t proof of anything.

No, it’s not how tokens work and its not in the TOS.

Please show us where it says that in the token tos. It should be easy if it’s there
