It is the D4 players who are driving up the price of that token. I am wondering if some people are just buying one month of WoW game time with tokens and then maxing out their bnet balance to use for D4 and other games. Then just not ever even playing WoW and just repeating the same thing again in 6 months or so just to use their old WoW gold they have sitting there. This would help deter that a bit but not the best solution but I can’t see bots the reason since bots they have other methods to get rid of them.
Folks with your logic of “I only play because my game time is free” either have very low respect for your own time or are exaggerating how much they do not enjoy the game.
There’s literally no more valuable resource we have than time. To spend that time doing something you aren’t enjoying is insane.
not that I can’t afford a token, I can, but to your claim, the average person does not make 60 bucks an hour, and if we did, most logical ones of us would be at work all the time not playing WOW.
Yea, I just can’t really see the reasoning behind this change, but then again, I don’t have a full picture. Unless it was just a poorly thought out mandate from upper management without really knowing how things actually work. Now, if it required a credit card (and not a prepaid one), then I could kind of see it, but then they would alienate a lot of people who would otherwise be valid customers.
You didn’t play for free. You paid an ungodly amount of gold, which can directly be converted to real money. If anything you paid way more than $15 per month.
You can only buy 2 months of game time though… so 26 euro for myself.
I couldn’t see any 1 month purchases, i believe it was changed a few years ago.
My question is why is Blizzard doing this ? Fishy and probably punitive as always .No Blizz you are not going to get my cash , u suck at managing a game
People’s theories are as follows:
- To partially combat botters
- Legal reasons because of the dates
This change “negatively” affects such a small portion of players that precisely no one cares. Folks are just raging as before, especially since as long as you have paid any amount of money for the game in the past 6 years … this doesn’t affect you.
Its pretty comical how people convince themselves its some kind of virtue not to pay for something they like.
I love paying for things I enjoy where the creators did a good job. It rewards the creators, and I’m more likely to get more and higher quality similar products in the future. Thats the whole point of money, to reward people who provide value and enable them to potentially provide even more of it. I’ve spent a ton of money on various games, both because I like
whatever product the money buys (such as skins in league or POE), and I want them to continue making more of it. Being cheap only leads to less and lower quality products.
do people still sell them
