Since there are many days that maintenance is being done I have always depended on the “Realm Status” site.
This site has shown servers “online” when they are actually “offline” for at least a month.
Is this something being worked on to keep monitoring servers available for customers?
Use the link below for Realm Status:

That page is really no longer used. I’d ignore anything it shows for the most part to be honest

Gotcha,
So is there anything available for customer to monitor realm status?
Other than trying to log in and check, not really no.
This maintenance should be over in about an hour or so based on the notice in the launcher.

logging in to see if servers up honestly… really kind of silly. because sometimes they come up and maintenance is still in launcher

Ok got it.
Thank you all for being so fast to answer.
The launcher window is a primary source for scheduled maint and breaking news. They give estimates of down time. Sometimes that can be longer, sometimes it is up sooner than expected.
The Launcher is a great guideline though.
They also usually have the messages for Maint mirrored on the Support site in a banner or more

And then there is the CS Twitter page. No account needed to view it I don’t think.

I’m sure it’s on their to-do list. Somewhere well down from “make the game work correctly”, but undoubtedly there.

Hmm… it’s right there under the Game Info menu option.
no that’s great, dont tell me when the game is up, i’ll play less.
If it’s no longer updated then they should remove it. Very misleading for so many people!

The forums are run by 3rd party softwareso its not as easy as it sounds.
While it is true that Discourse makes the forum software. The forum admins have a ton of control over the forums. They come with all the tools to create forums, create sub forums, set permissions and features on them, hide them, delete them, etc.
Removing the sub forum is a matter of minutes, once someone decides what they want to do with it. I suspect it is just that they have other more important things to do right now than clean up the unused sub forums lurking around.
Example of a forum feature - they can create sub forums, and threads ahead of time and just mark them non-public. They do it all the time with PTR and Beta forums, announcement posts, etc. All they have to do is toggle the forum as non public.

Which is kind of the point of the post isn’t it?
What’s the purpose of the Realm Status page if it doesn’t give actual valid Realm status?

Given the fact there’s more then one server for folks need to get through to log in, or the devs bringing it up to set something or just something is down for main. but the game itself is playable. So it’s an outdated page.
Even when that page was used it could be misleading. It said whether or not the realm was up but didn’t indicate whether the login server was up, or if the realms were publicly available (i.e. out of maintenance).
When realms were down for maintenance they showed as offline back when the page actually was usable.
They did not actually show as offline for Maint unless they totally turned them off. They would show as online when the team was working on them.
That is because it does not show the Authentication servers. Servers can be “up” technically when being worked on, but the gateway is closed to the public.
That led to a lot of confusion and a lot of forum posts asking for an explanation of why the realm showed as online on that webpage when it was supposed to be down for Maint.
Much anger that the page said online, but the players could not log in.
