WoW Podcasts: Are There Any?

To explain further, I would like to listen to “stories” written and spoken by my fellow players. Just asking if such a thing exists and if anyone has a recommendation.

Thanks!

i feel that you’re a decade too late. I bet in the Machinima era, there were tons.

I don’t know if this aligns with what you’re after these are lore stories summarised

Have you tried this one:

The two I know of from Youtube.

The Bench
The PoddyC

There used to be a good one for casual players. I tried looking for it but I can’t remember the name I think it was something like Azeroth round table.

There used to be, I remember seeing some back in the day.

Don’t know of any right now, though.

Allow me to elucidate a bit further, please, since I wasn’t clear in the OP.

I’m looking for fictionalized podcasts featuring a player’s character, and while keeping the lore of WoW intact, to make up a story taking the character elsewhere within the lore.

I have written stories about my own Mage Jonãs, but never committed them to digitized recording. Without calling on them publicly, there are others like me who have also written their own “tales” which I would like to listen to.

I hope this clarifies, and I’m sorry I didn’t include it in the OP. Old Age has crept up on me and caused some serious dain bramage, I reckon.:rofl:

Ah so basically a role play podcast. I’ve never heard of one of those and a search didn’t bring any up.

Ja, basically - although the stories could be told in 3rd person if someone wished.

He wrote, raising his eyebrows in hopeful expectation.

I remember there used to be a radio show done by goblins or something of the like back in the day, but I really haven’t looked for anything like this in a long while. I might check in the Stories forums, though. It’s possible someone there might have a better idea on podcasts with WoW stories (from our characters’ points of view).

If not, maybe someone could create one! That would be a lot of fun to listen to.

Can I repost this in The Stories section, or must this be done by a moderator? Sorry - forgot.

Apparently whatever I choose in the drop-down for wanting to change fora, nothing seems an appropriate description. Can someone contact a moderator to help, please?

I don’t know if he still does it, but Preacher had his long running Drama Time series. It was hilarious. All about the crazy personal drama that goes on in online games, where folks are largely anonymous. People would send in their stories and Preach would read them. I much preferred it in its earlier days when it regularly featured his buddy Ghosty, and was generally less polished. But it never failed to make me laugh. Warning for lots and lots of swearing and vulgarity.

Oh there we go. Nice one. I didn’t realise he gave it its own channel.

Magnarok!!! Hey! :+1:

Thanks for the reply. I looked at “Preacher” and considered giving it a listen. Zellyg, thank you as well! I’ll take a listen to Drama Time, too. Might not be what I’m exactly after, but if I ask for and get a recommendation, I like to check it out anyway.

What’s that? I better get to work, then?

Yup, got 'em lined up. This 75 year old coot needs something to put him to sleep these days! (Only kidding - thanks to all of you!):heart:

PS: I was kidding about the “going to sleep” part. I am 75. Whether I’m a “coot” or an “old fart” is still in question. :+1:

Thanks!
