Why can’t we play on WOW on PS5? You can easily connect a keyboard and mouse to the system and play it like a PC.

Not sure why Blizzard doesn’t port more of their games to consoles, but do you really want to pay 2 subs to play WoW?

I’ve wondered this for a while. Even the previous gen consoles had mouse/keyboard support added (well, at least I know the Xbox did), and the things are just custom x86 PCs anyway. Particularly the Xbox, where it’s still using modified Windows and DirectX, it likely wouldn’t even be a difficult port.
They’re supporting a whole new architecture for Macs (which is good), so it seems like a no-brainer, but maybe the console manufacturers have requirements regarding controller support… and the controller support I’ve tried for WoW was super awkward, so maybe that’s one of the hangups.
Edit - or it could be the “console cut” of sales. I’m assuming there is a reason WoW isn’t on Steam, and I’m betting that has more than a little to do with it.

Doesn’t PC wow have controller compatability? Just plus your controller into your comp.

- Sony wouldn’t allow cross-play which means you’d have to play WoW on a special “SONY server”
- You’d have to integrade it with alot of sony’s tech bullroar
- why would you want it on there?

My brother does and he got one quite easily by just following those YouTube channels that monitor the drops
Blizz mentioned last year they have no plans to bring WoW to consoles. We don’t know the exact reasons, but I imagine there’s stuff with the other companies they don’t get involved in. PC has always been their market, and it’s better option in the long run.
What would be the point of going PS5 though? If you connect a keyboard and mouse to it then you might as well be playing WoW on PC. Even if yours is a potato in comparison, if you can afford a PS5 then you can probably afford to upgrade the computer too.
Plus something to consider, I don’t think console games are moddable. You’d have to play WoW with the default UI and no addon toys. The horror! 
Having played some cross platform games in the past I can tell you that console Gamers and PC Gamers do not mix well.

Imagine controllers trying to move their right analog stick to turn camera while turning in PvP without any “aim assist”.
Why would they want to give Sony a 30% cut from sales.

I would love to see a console player go against melee classes like Rogues in PvP.
Unless they use keyboards, before they turn once, they’ll be dead. Unless of course they get special aim or targetting assists.
Instead of wasting time porting to console, they could use that dev time to… maybe work on the hugely imbalanced systems, or making a game that people want to play?
Also, what is the point of playing a PC game on a console with PC controllers? Seems like a huge disadvantage both computing wise, control wise, addons, etc… PC is, by far, superior for all forms of gaming.
