It’s a 20 year old MMO? What did you expect?
What would you suggest to not make the end game content loop less stale?
Sounds like a good time to take a break from the game.
It would be really cool if we could take our fully upgraded characters on Chromie type adventures where we could replace old expansions the way they were originally intended. I know I could create a new toon and level it, but I would rather take by main back with me. It would be like a dream, where you would be able to drop levels and gear to something that fit in the old target expansion when you are there, but would return the your current level and gear when you come back out of the dream.
I just had this idea, allow to upgrade prev. gear to current level, like the current upgrade system, that becomes limitless. Will function as a side of transmog.
For a 20-year old video game, it’s pretty fresh. How many other 20 year-old games are this fresh?
I haven’t known what I’m doing for years. Thars half the fun lol
Real problem with world of Warcraft is that it is so good that I am so burned out from playing that I can’t stand looking at any video game right now LOL
And that’s just it. We all love this game or we wouldn’t be here. Wouldn’t be here complaining about how stale it is. We would just quit if we didn’t love the game.
It’s okay to say it’s time to take a break for a while. I’ve taken breaks of up to 6 months and when I came back into the game it was fast and furious LOL and burn myself out again
It becomes stale if you play it for too long, any game does.
Take a break for a few months to a year, it’ll feel ‘fresh’ again when you return.
I feel that taking breaks should be encouraged, variety is the spice of life and all that.
There’s too many other good games out there, you’re doing yourself a disservice as a gamer.
How does that make things less stale?
What is that adding to the gameplay loop?
I mean its kind of been the same thing since BC, if its only now getting stale thats a pretty good run.
Lather, rinse. repeat.
Yes, it is
WoW is like a twinkie- immortal.
You might get sick of the flavor, but it won’t expire lol.
We just need more MMORPGs that aren’t WoW clones. Lately I’ve been loving Pantheon and got back into the current war on Foxhole. Highly recommend both games if you’re looking for a break from WoW and WoW adjacent games.
I was looking forward to Pantheon a decade ago.
I gave away a bunch of pledges on stream a couple years ago, I’m surprised it even came out, it’s rough and def EA, but a really good social chill out MMO.
Foxhole is the opposite. Im getting my gogogo and PvP itch on Foxhole while I wait for Undermine.
I used to be a logistics main during the early wars on Foxhole, now I’m straight up a front line Andy.
I am just not confident pantheon will ever be anything worthwhile. I just dont have it in me to sit around spamming LFG for leveling content.
