WoW is now Barbie

I mean that’s what I’ve been doing since I started in BC. Fancy dresses and giant swords

Imagine a game with no visual rewards of any type, where a level 1 looks the same as a max level person, no matter what they do.

That sounds kind of boring. Everyone might as well be playing on a spreadsheet looking at numbers.

Mogs are at least 20% of my DPS though.

Nah i am sorry , I have never focused on cosmetic gear, I like stats for better or worse, that is what the game has been for me for 18 years " get better gear’. I play with the cosmetics occasionally , but it isn’t my main draw to the game, or I would just go play afterlife whatever the heck it’s called. I can see where certain people would like to play dress up, I am not knocking that, It just isn’t what works for me personally.

I wanted to argue with you, but then I put my phone down and thought about it.

You right.

Not sure, but looks like he wants to play the game and not play dress up. That is what he means i think.

Y… yes.

OH, this is a COMPLAINT?

Can’t relate.

Did the forum force you to make the most uninteresting bland character in existence? You literally made the most stereotypical basic binka character ever. Should rename yourself to Harbie.

There can be content other than progression related you know. It’s not a crime.

Yeah we totally ran new dungeons for gear that was only 1-2 ilvls above the latest heroic tier, clearly

I like playing dress up.

That last for a whole 5 months. Then become useless.
Appearances never lose their value.

What did you expect?

When they come with ways to not instantly obselete gear every season, or maybe even every expansion, we could try and think of power before looks again.

So you want to just keep chasing ilvl forever? (I mean wow is already like this) why not do it while looking awesome? Or do you just not do raids and m+? They’re literally still in the game.

Plus a lot of games include you being able to get skins, or customize your character, and wow honestly needs more clothes if anything.

It’s an MMO, and you’re gonna be here forever, might as well look how you want. Also, ppl have been playing dress up in this game for years.

Not everyone wants to look like they’re in bis pre-raid gear in classic.

Nothing wrong with Barbie

It’s always been playing with dolls with extra steps. Yeah, you had to kill the BWL bosses and Onyxia to get a T2 set, but the main reason people did it was so everyone would ogle over over cool they looked. That’s 100% Barbie.

A fair challenge to Blizzard would be to honestly tally up the percentage of Barbie outfits to actual useful gear including allowing for random drop rates for fighting real leveling gear. I would put Barbie crap at well over 70%. for game play and 90% of rep items. Prove us wrong!

WoW has to get away from all the spacey stuff. Mankind has an entire history of amazing warcraft battle gear for inspiration from. Instead the over and over they make us look like insects. STOP already

Warcraft 2: Beyond the Dark Portal would like to speak with you.

The difference now though is that there is minimal or no effort to get it now. Devs don’t need to play test and balance the item because there are no stats/abilities on it and players can just swipe to buy it.

Barbie never had to wade through a 3 hour long raid, working as a team with other Barbies, killing monsters to get a cool pair of pants.

I think root of the issue is our culture of immediate gratification created by addiction to social media.
