"WoW is not a solo RPG" takes are why we need soloization

Which is why I completely get why people do Trust and are excited AI teams are making it to this game.

Turns out that when hyperfocusing min/max nerds like us grew up and got jobs/families/lives, we often prefer to have a cool fantasy world to unwind in (mmoRPG) rather than relax by cranking that sigma grindset even further past eleven lol

AI dungeons, delves and other open world progress gives us that balance.

Good point. I was just comment on it as the guy I was replying to keeps repeating the same thing over and over again.

Yea, i wonder how successful follower dungeons will be seeing as they don’t even extend to heroic

I think they’re worried that systems like M+ will lose their appeal once there are alternatives. These changes that Blizzard is making are only going to make the game better.

The game is losing its causal player base, there is barely any meaningful content for players like this anymore. The solo content if just faceroll and all the challenge requires you to group.

People forget too, that some people play at odd hours, or have social anxiety, why can’t these players have a place in the game too?

This is why Classic is so popular, a good chunk of the game offers a rewarding experience solo. Sure, it isn’t terribly hard, but it isn’t as faceroll as retail is. The outdoor content in retail is abysmal.

The current development team working on WoW needs to do a ton of deep thinking on what made WoW great for decades. They lost this trying to ratchet everyone into these end game gear treadmills.

Gear acquisition is just stupid fast. You’re showered with blues, epics for just looting a crate or a box in the new zones. It is boring as heck.

How so?

I came to this game from EQ, and the major selling point was being able to solo to max level as well as a minimal death penalty by comparison.

It delivered on that promise, and it still does. However, Blizzard realizes that there’s a gap that needs to be filled. Even EQ added followers in the form of mercenaries in 2008.

Their reasons were different in that the leveling experience requires grouping. With so many people coming to WoW, or leaving the space in general, there were no people to group with which left new/returning players stuck in the early levels.

Adding followers to that game didn’t affect max level group/raid gameplay, and I don’t think it will here either. Having a solo progression path is making me consider buying TWW, but I’m going to wait and see if they do another Torghast before purchasing.

I hope the AI dungeons succeed and they make them available beyond DF.

What are you referring to? “People like me” meaning what? Please, do tell.

Because the seasons are so fast, now.

Black Temple was the main event for 9 months when it came out, and it wasn’t even the last raid of its expansion.

Lately we’ve been having stuff active for 4-5 months and then Blizzard rushes on to the next thing. And the catch-up gear is so generous that you feel like a fool for having even bothered with the tier before.

lol. She’d cheat, lie, steal…you name it. Then when you react she’d be like “why are you so upset” ? lmao. “why do you want a divorce”. lol.
She honestly still to this day cant figure it out, I think. She really believes her behavior was just fine and Im overreacting.
Same thing in here.
These folks are literally showing us in here just how obnoxious they can be…confirming what we’re saying about the situation…then like the ex demand we play with them and cant figure out why we dont want to. lmao.

Granted I play solo in ESO too so Ive no real comparison, but this community seems Far more ‘toxic’ than any other online game Ive ever played. lol

sad part is I LOVE healing 5 mans…REAL players. But theres that 1 in 8 to 10 players who is so rabidly obnoxious that its just not worth bothering with.
its a dice roll when you group with randoms when the psycho is going to go on a profanity laced tirade in chat because someone did something they dont like or refuses to give them their gear drop. lmao.
Like a spoiled tantrum tossing child. NO adult wants to deal with crap.

So my options are…join a guild and get with good players…or play solo.
My schedule allows only for the latter.
AI dungeons would be perfect for me.
No attitudes and I can do them at my leisure, not someone elses.

Heheh I love tormenting those people with my tank. The moment that someone whines, I’ll start grabbing EVERY pack in eye sight one at a time, sometime depopulating a entire dungeon. I’ll even go and do some weird routes and all the the optional bosses, just to listen to them whine that we are going too slow.

If I get kicked, oh well, 99% of the time, we already killed a boss or two, so the deserted debuff doesn’t kick in and I generally get almost instant queues.

Did you check them out on the PTR?
OMG…they are a blast…
Healer died when I pulled too much, almost wiped to the twins in Uldum.
Very cool to be able to have this and the queue time was like 2 seconds lol

Wait, we want 9-12 month content droughts back? Big yikes.

Ion.

But you wouldn’t know. You’re why the AI’s being added.

  1. buy a console.
  2. play solo rpgs
  3. Make wow MMORPG again

It was supposed to be.

And 5-6 months is perfect imo, 9 months and people would be quitting out of sheer boredom

I rarely do dungeons. The other day I tried a TW dungeon and the group moved so quickly to the first boss I got locked out of the fight and kicked. I have never played the dungeon and didn’t know a boss was so close.

I didnt get mad so much but sad at the state of some people in that much of a hurry to crap on another human being.

Ion doesn’t even raid anymore, hasn’t in a while.

I think they will eventually.
