I’m fine with failing. There’ve been countless times when I’ve retried endlessly to do things in WoW.
What’s a lot less fun is failing in a group setting and everybody getting all angry, regardless of who’s at fault.
It didn’t used to be like that, people used to be pretty chill in group activities and possibility of failure was a given. At some point anything but crushing victory became unacceptable.
So it’s not that I’m unwilling to fail, it’s that the players that I’m getting grouped with who are likely unwilling to. If that chill attitude from xpacs of old came back there would be no problems.
I think it’s human nature,we don’t want failure. I like a challenge every once in awhile in game but not to the point where it a constant defeat. You learn a lot from the met.
And the tedium doesn’t really reward well. Guaranteed reward.
I can do tedium. I did eve for 9 years. And just bought a 6 month block of time to return.
When tedium pays you…its not so bad. I never asked for bosses to drop BiS every time. I just want something to drop to sell lol. Make it gold plated poop. As long as the vendor buys it at 50 gold a piece…load me up with it.
To not have me go cool…fishing would have been a more productive use of my time than this last run that dropped no loot.

its not that hard on very hard… lol
There is a difference in learning from and accepting failure than to accept the tedium of stagnated failure.
