If I quit WoW (and Iā€™m basically a raid logger at least until 9.1.5) then Iā€™m going to other games.

Maybe New World (weā€™ll see, guildies are going there so I might follow) but more likely just Destiny 2 along with single player games.

Iā€™ve tried FF14, I have a level 9 gladiator and they say it gets fun at the end but I canā€™t do the slog in the hopes that the people who say it gets fun are right.

I enjoy the FF XIV story so far (still in ARR), and I do like the Job system.

But in almost every other respect, WoW is superior. For me at least.

Iā€™m playing both for what they are. FF XIV is no WoW-killer. Despite what some would tell you.

This is just another FF promotion. At this point these posters are akin to bitter exā€™s who are jealous and donā€™t want anyone else to enjoy something they cannot.

Loved ESO, only stopped playing it cause of the spammy nature of light weaving. My hands were wrecked after a few years of playing ESO non-stop.

Which would be great for me as an Rper ā€¦sadly the story seemst to be squandered as most of the RP there amounts to what goes on in MG goldshire at least if the numerous youtube videos are anything to go by.

Are you saying thereā€™s a lot of actions per minute? That might be a deal breaker for me too.

I gave FF a try. Itā€™s not bad, but I just like wow better. The playstyle at least.

I havenā€™t. I tried FF because it was free. It was different and fun. I may give it another go since 9.2 is who knows how far off. Even 1.5 is probably a month off. Once you hit renown 80, there is no reason to do most current things.

All classes have a 1 second GCD. On top of that, for every GCD you can Light Attack+spell+block/dodge/bash. For PVE to maximize you need to commit muscle memory to light attack>spell forever, throwing in blocks/dodge/bash as needed. The repetitive nature of hitting the exact same button every second for hours on end can be quite damaging. Itā€™s generally a bit faster pace than WoW, when I came back to WoW it felt slow on all classes in comparison.

Valheim is free as well all you need to do is purchase the game but it is not Pay to win.

I get thatā€™s your opinion but I disagree.

WoW feels like a dinosaur compared to other MMOs. Itā€™s complete lack of evergreen/casual content is complete deal breaker. The lack of 95% of all the content being queueable is also another detriment to me.

FF14 to me is a superior MMO because everything and anything you do feels worthwhile. Gear is scaled based off the content youā€™re doing. Thereā€™s all these neat things to go do to complete that all flow together like Hunter Logs and Challenge Logs.

I think honestly unless youā€™re big into a ā€œcompetitive MMORPGā€ I just canā€™t understand why people think WoW is good. Itā€™s really only good for M+, and Raiding and even then FF14 is still quite comparable.

Lastly the communities are what sell it for me. FF14 has actual moderation and goes after people for being toxic, which is great!

City of Heroes imo. Also I am sticking it to Blizzard by playing D2R instead of WoW!
