WoW is actually incredible if we skipped the bad expansions

Let’s see how WoW would look…

Vanilla: a new world opens before us.
TBC: battle the demons in another world.
Wrath: fight against the Lich King.
MoP: horde vs alliance war reaches its climax.
Legion: the world unites as the Legion returns.

Forget legacy servers. I wanna play a server that takes us through only the good WoW expansions, without periods of content drought.

Don’t play the bad expansions, yet still has Wrath up there.

Okay.

I dread leveling anywhere before MoP because its buggy and has incredibly boring quests. I am so excited for Shadowlands because i finally dont have to slog through all those outdated zones

It’s so sad that BFA is played out as to be the biggest and best H v A war even calling it THE 4th war when the one from WOTLK-MoP was way more impressive and important lol.

Saying WOTLK is bad because “look how unique and edgy I am” lol.

What people remember about Wrath fondly:

  • Ulduar
  • Icecrown Citadel

Such a long list…

Agreed. The war being started in Wrath, escalated in Cata by Warchief Garrosh, and ultimately reaching its conclusion in MoP. That would’ve been a wholesome story for the faction war. Unfortunately, Blizz wasn’t ambitious enough to deem the war ended by MoP, so they just dragged it along till BfA.

Lol I could 20x your list easily.

No, that’s what you remember fondly.

I wasn’t big on Naxx being reinserted (but it was still a good raid originally) and ToC but I enjoyed a lot more in Wrath than what you mentioned and so did many others.

Loved the PVP, loved the class design, enjoyed the story, and I liked the general atmosphere of the expansion.

Dungeon finder felt like it trivialized dungeons but other than that I don’t have many negatives with Wrath.

Human history would be wonderful if we just skipped all the awful things that have happened.

Not sure it works that way.

The issue is people have different opinions on what expansions are good and bad.

I personally hate BC, I find that it’s kinda dumb to add so much SciFi to a setting that’s been mostly medevial fantasy with a but of steampunk and the quality of content didn’t make up for that. Yet many people would disagree.

Anything is good if you skip the bad parts.

Cata is my favorite. I realize it had some mistakes but i never understood why it recieved as much hate as it did.

That was my first thought too. Wrath is over-hyped, boring, and stale.

I always viewed cata as the matainance patch of expansions, It sucked at the time as it rivaled WoD in what little there was to do but it was needed in the long run.

I can’t imagine leveling in old stranglethorn on retail today.

So we’re back to the ‘On Team, Off Team’ theory?

No, Vanilla was a bad “non-expansion.”

I would do:

TBC
Wrath
Legion

MoP was bad, too many dailies/reps. It was a muddled mess. I can’t figure out why people complain about Legion/BFA reps, when MoP reps were a billion times worse; My Hunter JUST got the remaining MoP reps to exalted, finally, during time gates in Legion (well, except shado-pan assault, since that is only from doing throne of thunder…)

I can see that. But what did WotLK have to do at max that Cata didnt? Overall cata never seemed that far off from what wrath was, unless there’s something i’m completely forgetting.

it had several raids, new bgs, new dungeons, etc

If you were a Death Knight or Ret Paladin.

So did everyone that wasn’t the Death Knights.

What story?

Ah yes, Vikings and a variety of tundra. Such WoW. Much diversity.

Lol… ret paladin… what…? Perhaps you are thinking of Holy.

Every class had a spec that was strong in PVP, even in season 5.

That makes no sense. You’re saying DKs didn’t like class design but everyone else did? Yeah okay bro.

Stupid question. Just going to assume you are one of those people that needs cinematics thrown in your face to realize there’s a story.

Makes sense, you don’t seem like the smartest fellow.

Oh, golly gosh… look everyone, he didn’t like those two things. Poor little guy.

Ret paladins were hilariously broken in Wrath.

Death Knights were so amazingly broke that they were ultimately disappointed that they got hammered into the floor and haven’t come back since (except Blood DK’s)

And I’m going to assume that you love re-reading plot lines from Warcraft 3 because that’s what Wrath basically was, sans the stupid ending.

Skyrim had better diversity than that abortion you call ‘a good expansion’. Deny it all you want, makes no difference to me.
