Not much more tbh, I think wrath is a bit overhyped.
Wrath wasn’t one of my favorites either, Mists was for me.
Not really. Unless you’re talking about duels, it was pretty good there but it was pretty average in arena.
I see lots of DKs. DKs have been good in other expansions than Wrath. And after the Shadowfrost build was nerfed it definitely wasn’t nearly as strong. Also, I didn’t know any DKs that rerolled after the nerfs. It was still a good class.
Still makes no sense. Elements of the story being from old games means there was no story?

There was a story. Also, do you realize how many people didn’t touch a Warcraft game before WoW? They needed to tell that story.
There was more to Wrath than snow and Vrykul. Sorry, but you’re reaching pretty heavily with that comment.
Judging from the way you are talking about Wrath, I assume you played the entire time. I can’t fathom why you would have done that if you thought it was a bad expansion. I’d like to see what your idea of a good expansion is and why.

BFA is amazing and i had a blast in WoD.

Oh, there it is folks. The reason he didn’t like Wrath is because he played a launch DK and had a conniption fit after it got nerfed.

Copying the old story and pasting it into Wrath is not a story.
Barring Sholazzar Basin, the environments you had were tundra, glaciers, and snow.
I still had fun, but I’m not going to lie and say it was a good expansion.
cata and MOP are the most horrible damn things to ever happen to this game
Okay but they decided from the very beginning they weren’t skipping the old Warcraft lore. shrug
Cataclysm was the first time they really ventured out and I felt like it was a terrible story and Deathwing was just this annoying overhyped villain that popped up everywhere. The only time I’ve really liked the story since was in Legion.
I still hate seeing Deathwing’s damage in low level zones. Just a constant reminder that I shouldn’t be questing and that I didn’t like Cataclysm all that much.
I mean there was a lot of snow but there were a lot of themes in Wrath. Nerubians, Titan stuff, undead, Alliance/Horde drama, trolls, dragons, Dalaran, and there was also Crystalsong Forest (admittedly people forget about this zone because it had next to nothing to do in it).
I guess you don’t like snow and that’s fine.
Fair enough I guess, I feel that way about WoD. I had fun in PVP but it was the only thing I enjoyed, the rest of the expansion was trash.

And what did the Lich King do, exactly? Pop up in every zone and threaten the player that he was going to get them?
There’s so many flaws in Wrath’s story that calling Cataclysm’s bad is hypocritical.
It’s hypocritical that I liked Arthas as a villain but didn’t like Deathwing?
They are two vastly different characters.
As for popping up in every zone, I’m sorry but Deathwing was flat out annoying. I simply didn’t see him the same way I saw Arthas. There will never be a villain in this game that isn’t popping up and “trying to get you.” If you want that, go play Classic. That’s about the only time you won’t have that.
The difference is some characters annoy me and others don’t. I don’t see how that is hypocritical at all.

Lol, he put Wrath up there? Yeah, it was so good that only 30% of players made it past level 10… And yes, this was confirmed by Blizzard themselves:

Stop looking through frosty tinted glasses. Wrath wasn’t really that good. It had some decent content, but it wasn’t some monolith to aspire toward.
That’s a very flat argument. Level 10 was vanilla content, not Wrath content. Level 10 is when someone who doesn’t know MMOs gives it a try then decides it’s not for them, so they move on.
Wrath drove WoW to 12 millions subs and sustained them throughout the expansion. Yes, it was actually that good. You just happened to not like it.

They also stated years ago that they have had over 100 million players try WoW. 70% of them didn’t make it past level 10? That’s still tons of players!
It’s hypocritical to complain about Cataclysm’s story when Wrath’s story shared the same flaws.
At least Deathwing did something.
That’s because Wrath made the WoW ridiculously easy. It was rated E since Everyone could master it.
That 100 million was them counting cyber cafes in China. They used to have a different metric for counting things in the east. Eventually, they switched to how subs are in the west, but I think that was after they stopped reporting sub counts anyways. Also, that 12 million was counting asian cyber cafes and their weird way they tally them up. Of actual subs in the west, it was far less than that. Probably three million subs.
Anyways, point is, yeah, lots of people tried WoW for a month or so during it’s peak and then it dropped off. People got over their Arthas story climax and moved on. The MMO market, as a whole, was already begining to pop it’s bubble.
As for the rest of the supposed good expansions, all of them have been alright, but not super. The only ones that stand out are MoP and Legion. MoP because it was trash and completely alienated a huge chunk of players with the kungfu panda yellow-face crap and Legion, because it was actually the first decent expansion (minus legendary RNG).

Oh I’m sorry, when people went out of their way to mock the Developers at how easy Naxx, the Oculus, and the ‘Heroic mode’ Dungeons were; that you had to reach an arbitrary number for your gear to raid; and you could buy Heirlooms to level to 70 as fast as possible, it tends to stick out that the content is really trivial.
But do go on with your rose tinted goggles.
