WoW has become so unfun

Then go do it, you don’t have to drag everyone with you when you decide to jump.

Toxic players are going to be toxic regardless of the tools available. Stop trying to scapegoat useful addons and start focusing on the problem - Blizzard’s lack of policing toxicity

Sure WoW isn’t very fun anymore

But definitely not for those reasons

You’re max level. If you want tanks to be necessary, try the endgame content you’re supposed to be doing.

The tanks I play m+ with are having a blast, pulling big, utilising their utility and defensive kits, being rewarded for understanding their class, controlling the pull with some help from their team.

In higher level content, dps will often die if they pull threat and get aggro. It doesn’t happen in leveling dungeons or normal dungeons, but in in higher level dungeons they will absolutely die unless they have vanish or the equivalent to drop threat.

Back in vanilla, I didn’t have dps meters, but I did have omen which was a threat meter because warlocks had zero threat reduction and I would still get one shot in raids if I pulled threat. I’d use it just to keep an eye on the tank’s threat so I could stop dpsing if I had to. It was incredibly boring, but that’s just how it was back then.

Yes, if you arent having fun, you should do something else. Seems obvious.

You’re mad that DPS charts exist, and that you aren’t topping them in leveling dungeons? Weird reason to quit.

These addons, meters, have existed forever.

I just think it’s inevitable that folks are eating each other over what’s best, and being hyper-fixated on it.

It was a problem back then, not surprised it’s the same way now. (Remember warriors being 60% of a raid group since Vanilla? Because their DPS was the best.)

Killing those addons won’t fix community perception by the way, FF14 has community perceptions about classes and for the most part people don’t even use meters over there.

If a community views something as bad, then it’s seen as bad unless there’s some kind of knee-jerk buff or something that changes the way the class/spec is seen as a whole. Or something like a full rework.

That’s one of the reasons people show up in mythic groups still clueless as to how to play their role, or class.

The problem with WoW is that the game used to be geared towards the anybody player and guilds that put them together. Those players pushed hard to fight the raid together and clear content and had fun doing it. When the game became far more esports focused with fine tuned Mythic raiding, M+ and leaderboards, and whatever else it kind of turned the game into less of a chill game with fun heroics and raids to do with the crew and more of a very hard game.

Today’s wow requires so much know how and precision at the very top most will never ever reach it. In fact, 99 to 99.9% will never ever see what wow is like at the top now.

Leveling dungeons should be removed; been saying this for years. All they do is teach people how to play poorly. It’s something that does a disservice to the people it’s supposedly meant to help.

Yeah, if anything they teach bad habits.

The only things that matter in this game are Mythic+ and Raids, the rest of the game is trivial, braindead garbage, which everyone treats as such. If you don’t like it, stop doing worthless content.

I knew a guy in BC who, at level 70, would do nothing but run Zul’Furrak on multiple characters, solo, every day.

He wasn’t looking for anything, btw. It’s just what he did.

More power to you if you enjoy something so niche. But don’t come complaining to everyone about it afterwards.

Oh, it’s one of those threads again… Mixing ban add-ons and TW scaling sucks, how new. Just add some… What’s trendy lately ? MM hunters and game dying ? Well this one’s been trendy for 21 years anyway.

Mythic plus is boring repetitive garbage that most seem like they don’t like at all. Raids are fun for a bit but then become a chore after running them endless times hoping for a drop if you don’t have a team handing you loot.

Yes but the facts are the facts, outside of those two things, nothing else matters and the playerbase recognizes that. Why would anyone treat queueable dungeons seriously when they just fall over from a stiff breeze?

But why do they have to treat it super serious? As long as its just enough of a challenge for the average to above average player is all that matters.

They don’t lol. Did you not read the OP?
