WoW Funeral Raid

It was one of the greatest WoW videos of all time. It’s an important part of WoW history. You have to watch the reupload one though with the proper music.

When I started playing in TBC it was one of the first videos I watched and was like OMG this game is crazy! It got me excited.

My friend who doesn’t play WoW but is intrigued by my playing because he is a gamer. I asked him have you ever heard of the WoW Funeral Massacre? Then sent him the link. It’s a video worth watching for any gamer.

It was a beautiful PvP memorial.

The persons death was tragic. The raid made it into a legend. Without the raid, it probably would have been forgotten.

I liked the end… she loved fishing, snow, and pvp. That says it all. She would have been happy.

I laughed super hard.

I laughed even harder at the aftermath.

I still laugh at the people offended by it today.

Yes, I think especially since it was advertised, on a pvp server, it almost seems like they were inviting a battle.

They knew what they were doing. They could have done the funeral in many much safer locations. They could have, you know, not advertised the event on the internet – guild chat / vent / whatever should have been enough. Seems like the people most closely involved don’t see the PvP as a bad thing, anyway,

Are you talking about Serenity Now crashing a WoW funeral?

My thought is, was, and for all eternity is that if the organizers didn’t wanted it crashed by PvP, they should have put it on a Normal (i.e. PvE) realm. Having a big group in one place is just too enticing for trolls.

I thought it was a shame. Maybe the people that organized this wanted to do it on the server the person loved. Maybe they thought that people would rise to the occasion and allow this to happen peaceably. That people could put their trollish nature aside and have a quiet moment to about life and the pain of losing someone.

But gamers gonna game and trolls gonna troll, so it ending up being a shame. Just another “pvp happened on a pvp server”. Good thing some people could get a good laugh out of it, you have to take joy were you can find it in this world.

I kinda feel bad about it, but that’ll teach them not to hold such events on a PVP server! Hello?

I get why they wanted to hold an event like that, but come on. This is a video game played by all types of different people. All types of different people on a pvp server, no less. Of course there was going to be a group of people who were going to take advantage of that situation.

It would have been better if they had some people in hiding that killed the gankers when they attacked.

I remember it but not that good. I just remember a bee-line of Horde in Winterspring and then supposebly a girl who had passed away and was AFK by a pond in Winterspring. Ppl shouldn’t take it seriously, WoW is for fun anyways. I’m sure they were super mad for a long time but its years later and prob been forgotten

uhhhhhh no
