WoW Development Stalled

Apparently blizzards too busy challenging each other to do shots while at work and forcing themselves on their female co-workers while their boss watches and nods with approval to be this dedicated to the game.

Anyway, love Bastion! Hope that guy got a big raise!

Do you think it’s any different in other games though?

Have you played FF? Once you’re passed the OOOOH! AHHHH! of the initial playthrough, each patch gives like 1-2 hours more of story and raids that can be done in the same day.

You can literally finish an FF patch in a day, in its entirety, all that’s left is grinding gear. If you’re a savage raider you might get a bit more time out of the raid on every even patch when savage comes out (which is it’s own mini-patch), but savage is usually cleared by day 2 or 3.

I would drink all of those nerds so far down under the table they wouldn’t be able to stand on their feet and thus all groping would be averted.

This means to me:

“Stop talking about this and saying negative things and making it a big deal or else you’ll be punished”

You should read my first paragraph…

I didn’t play it, but I know…

They have houses u can buy and decorate.

They have crazy music you can collect to listen to.

They have an insane crafting system with a whole raid devoted just to crafters.

They have world quests that bring players together all over the world.

I’m sitting in oribos right now and my only real options are LFR for a raid that gives subpar gear, LFD for a mythic dungeon I’ve already done that gives me gear I don’t need and PVP which will put me against ppl with subpar gear who I’m shocked even queued in to the game for a reward of nothing of value.

Like what am I supposed to do lol

I bet i could drink u under the table!

Lies and falsehoods.

Cite reference for this please.

What are you even talking about with this, the only thing Ashes is going to sell are cosmetics. Ashes of Creation is being developed by people who love the Golden era MMORPG genre that seems to have been abandoned. That’s the game I will transition over to from WoW.

I did state in the thread that I don’t actually know if they fire 800 poeple on a yearly basis.

But that is not the point. The point is just that losing your job because the game you develope is shutting down is no different from losing your job because you got fired.

I do not see why I should have more sympathy for one scenario over the other, and why I should feel bad advocating for the demise of WoW because of it.

Good luck getting one with all the bots.

I mean, it’s cool, not something I would really call riveting content, but cool.

It’s not really a raid, it’s just a zone, and they’ve been dumbing down craft patch after patch, expansion after expansion, not long before it’s not much more than wow crafting.

They do not, the world is empty besides gatherers and levelers when you happen to see them, don’t know where you would get this idea from. Maybe you’re thinking of hunt trains? They are just once ever few hours, and their not like… amazing content or anything, you fly around killing a named mob in each area.

And nothing you listed is patch content, which is what we were talking about, if you’re going to ignore wow mount collectors and transmog collectors you have to ignore people doing old content as well in FF.

Fact is, FF patches are over quicker than wow patches and they leave you waiting for more every time :frowning:

2019 Activision Blizzard laid off about 775.

2020 laid off roughly around a hundred people

Now it’s not 800 yearly but they like laying off people

mimosa challenge! right now!

And that is bad enough as far as I am concerned.
SWTOR also only sells cosmetics, and cosmetic features of their game.
Black Desert Online also only sells cosmetics.

I do not like microtransactions, it creates a dependence on microtransactions over dependence on a good game.

And if the developers are particularely bad about it, they sell better quality stuff in their stores and provide crap quality stuff in their game.

FFXIV is one game that does good with their microtransactions. I still speak a lot of negative about the store, but the quality of what they sell and what you can grind in game is no different.

Microtransactions overall is a bane in the gaming industry, and you are either too new in the gaming hobby or too young to understand why.

Ill keep playing until servers shut down IF they ever do, then move to other games I play, simple for me.

With how little input from the community they actually take into consideration its clear to me that it really does not matter how many people stay and try to make the game better. The devs made it clear many times this is their game and if your suggestion to improve the game goes against their core philosophy then they disregard it. Conduit energy and covenant restrictions are perfect examples. Then at the last patch of the expansion they are finally able to release things that were previously “impossible”. There is a ripcord they can pull if they need to then the ripcord does not exist then all of a sudden they give covenant change forgiveness on the 9.1 patch.

The obvious conclusion here is that Blizzard does not care about our input. They will do what they want to and they dont care at all for what we have to say about it. So its not worth keeping my hopes up that our input will actually change anything.

Then go there lol, no one is stopping you.

For me, it’s not enough of the content I enjoy. There is MUCH more for me to do in wow.
